Ok , so I was in school today, and I asked my friend if he likes world of warcraft.
Well he replied "What's world of Warcraft". So I sat down with him... We had a little chat and we got to the point eventually.
The story begins he claimed to have never played a game in his life.
And I replied that is possible but it's also impossible at the same time. Like, he is an outside person... I can admit that, but not
Playing a game in your whole life...? That's taking it advanced.
I bet he's played at least one game even it has to be damn Atari or something similar to that.
So that's probably the highlight of my day.

Also, maybe he's just not into video games. Couple of my high school mates were like that. Hell, I went to elementary school with a guy whose family didn't own a TV. Not because they couldn't afford it, but the parents just felt that their kids could do other stuff for their pass time.
I'm not saying it's a healthy approach, but it's a possibility.

I wasn't either Kali. My parents thought that if I had access to video games, I'd never get homework done. But they let me watch TV and they still nagged and nagged until I get it done, so I think they just used that as an excuse. They didn't mind me playing video games on my computer when they bought me that, but they never did like the idea of me having a console game system. My first was a PS2 that I got as a high school graduation present from my godmother. She didn't want to get that for me either, but she asked what I wanted, so that's what I told her.

I got my first console (also a PS2) off my money I earned when I lived in the US. Brought it back to Germany, my mum tried to chuck it out the window. I saved it...
The only thing I was allowed to watch on TV were nature documentaries. I was only allowed on the Internet when my mum could supervise what I did on there. I was allowed to go to this anime watching night once a month from when I was 15 or so, at least... but always had to leave at 7:45 and never did - that's why it was once a month, I was usually grounded.

My high school experience was not typical, but I actually am pretty sure there were some folks in my school who never played video games either.
Then again, near the end of my senior year everyone had a Tamagotchi. I suppose that sort of counts as a video game.

Today, yeah, but today we've got mp3-players that could hold entire Tamagotchi civilizations on even the smallest of flash drives. Back then, though... man, was it hi-tech. A video game -- well, sort of -- that could fit on a key chain. It was amazing. And it was just like a real pet.
Not many people realize it, but a lot of people from my generation learned how to take care of pets and babies by having a Tamagotchi. Which, thinking about how many Tamagotchis that died, is slightly frightening.

Yeah, freaking everybody had those things... It was mostly a girl thing, but there was quite a few of the popular guys who had them too. I actually kind of want to get another one, so I could actually get to experience what it's like to have one for longer than a week lol.

In 8th grade I was more concerned with finding the widest-leg JNCOs I could. I didn't have a digi-pet or whatever.

However, I'm the only person I know who has never EVER killed a sim. I still don't get why people do that. It's inexplicable. O_o?
