I picked up the only new in box $69 nook simple touch on the planet after I snagged one of the $79 ones and then complained about them not giving me my $10 member discount on it since it didn't say anywhere that discound didn't apply. It took them looking up my book purchase history to realize exactly how many books I have purchased there over the years, but after that they were more than happy to work with me on it.

The power button on my monitor is starting to crap out on me. Sometimes it takes several presses to turn on or off. Since I'm still using a CRT I decided it wasn't worth trying to fix. Newegg has select monitors on sale this weekend for fifty dollars off. I picked up this one for $89.99 with free shipping. I would have gone larger, but I would have to take the top shelf off my desk to fit anything bigger in. That's still a quality monitor at a very good price though.

I haven't entered a retail establishment yet this weekend, except the chinese restaurant. My son picked us up a 32" HDTV though that we're giving to my daughter and bf. It's a Hidear, and it was only $240.00. I'm a bit nervous about the brand just cuz I haven't heard of it before. But the tv looks good. [:smile}

We can be Nook friends and magically share stories between coasts with the Lend Me app Nook uses. My ebook collection is growing. PM me if you're interested.
Oh, and don't forget each Friday B&N offers up a free book. I've actually read a couple of them - and they weren't bad.
