Sorry no skunks yet. I finally got the smart one. This one was gettining the food and not setting off the trap for several days. Racoon #3!

I hear using peanut butter on the trap works the best since they can't pull it out. Seems like your bowl idea is working for you so this advice is a little late.

My problem is that I'm running out of bowls. Both of the big racoons I caught ate the food and the bowl!
