As all of you probably know by now, today is my last day here. I don't want to go into my reasons for leaving. All I can say is that I felt I was left with little choice but to go. Ten years of my life has been poured into this site. In many ways it is an extension of me. Leaving it behind is extremely hard to do.

I want to thank the Allakhazam community for everything you have done for me and for this site over the years. When my mother died, you helped me through my grief. When we adopted our daughter, you shared my happiness. I've spent nearly a quarter of my life here and it has shaped me as much as any other experience I have had.

I wish the new management nothing but success. You guys deserve nothing less.

Thank you again.

Thank you Alla for creating and maintaining this site. You have given a lot of us a home on the Internet as cheesy as that sounds.

See you around!

You don't know me and but this site is great and you should be very proud of it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do and think of the positives of leaving. Go spend more time with your daughter and wife and come back to visit us as a civilian.

While I've never actually come across you very often on this site before, I feel I still have to thank you for creating this home for the community that has developed here. I've met some friends and had many a laugh at the tales I hear and the memories people share.

And I saw ari's hot sisters.

All in all, thank you again, and good luck with what ever your future holds

I remember when I applied for the volunteer news position. I had just had my baby and wasn't allowed to work yet and between breast feeding and playing EQ all day, I learned some html and was modding a few boards and designing a few websites. (GAWD did they suck looking back on them!) Smiley: oyvey

I opened up my IE browser to look something up on Alla's. Right there, in front of me, was my dream! "We need help for news, you won't get paid, but you'll have fun" well not really that, but something along those lines. Then I got sick, and I just new he was going to fire me! He didn't. And I eventually was hired with pay and have been here ever since! Smiley: grin

Goodbye Jeff, thank you for everything you have done for me! You've been there for me when times were hard, and when times weren't! It's really going to be hard for me to see you go, you've been my boss for so long, it's hard to imagine anything different. I understand things change and I realize we must accept change, but no one ever said, I had to like it. Smiley: cry

You've almost always supported me Smiley: lol and I have learned a lot. You have been my boss, sometimes fatherly, but most of all, my friend, and I thank you.

Please keep in touch and don't forget about us!

You and I already said our goodbyes, but your OP really choked me up.

Thankyou again, and hopefully this site, like a wayward, headstrong but wonderful child will run free and thrive without you to hold its hand.

I rarely post but I've been hanging out here since I started playing EQ back in 2002. Thanks so much for not only creating a great site that is above and beyond helpful in the game world but fun to linger in, as well.

Thank you for the adventure, Sir Allakhazam. I wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life. /HUGS!!!

I wish what ever happened to make you feel you had to leave had never happened. If I knew where to point my ire I would. Hell, I'm pretty sure there would be one big hellacious following of posters jumping on what ever drove you away. Know that we appreciate all that you have done.

Thank you for the work you put into the site, Allakhazam. Good luck in all your future endeavors, and please keep us updated somehow, if not yourself then through people you keep in touch with here.

Thanks for giving us a "place". Even though I'm sure the events that have unfolded through the use of your OOT forums was not in the original game plan, you have inadvertently provided a medium for a large group of people from differing backgrounds and far-off places to find one another. The resulting friendships, and occasionally romantic relationships, are partly your doing and as such you have had a much more profound impact on the lives of others than I'm sure you ever imagined.

Thank you so much for providing a way for me to work through some of the worst times in my life and to connect with others in a way that was safe and supportive. Thank you for "introducing" me to people that I care deeply about. I'm so happy to hear that we were able to give a little of the same back to you.

:)

I've been on this site for about 6 years (and posting for more than 5), and since I'm not quite 24 I can relate somewhat to it being a big part of my life. Not only has this site been indispensable for gaming information, the best part has ALWAYS been the people. Allakhazam was built on community, and even as I moved to different games, the community is what has kept me here for years. Thank you for all of the hard work, and best of luck!
