So I had this "vision", if you will, of doing a darkness self skillchain with scythe. I researched the necessary weapon skills: (Nightmare Scythe, Vorpal Scythe, Crossreaper). Obviously for this I'd be subbing sam for Sekkanoki and meditate. But heres the issue I'm running into...
As drk/sam Sekkanoki only gives 60 tp and absorb tp casts too slowly to complete a chain in time.
Has anyone found a way of making this work? Because if this is possible, you can easily burst the skillchain and it would be an awesome display of drk power and a handy solo tool if you need to do a lot of damage in a short amount of time.
Any thoughts and input would be welcome. Thanks :)

Also, you need to check your mechanics. Meditate gives you 60tp over ten seconds or whatever, Sekkanoki makes your next WS only use 100tp. Sekka is the self-SC tool.
There is no other Scythe -> Scythe combo that does Darkness though. You can close a level 1 'Compression' with Nightmare Scythe. This is not Darkness and will be weak as worthless.

Yeah, i've solo'd a good few solo Darkness SCs with Quietus, but i have yet to do a dbl Darkness.

I don't necessarily believe this rumor, but the player I heard this from tends to usually be well informed, so his info is typically accurate. So... any relic holders out there ever try and succeed at double darkness/light using only the relic ws?

You cannot continue on after the double darkness however.

You can do SC with Meditate and Absorb-TP but is a matter of luck. The problem is that if you use WS > Meditate > Abs.TP > WS = fail, at least I falied miserably. The way I found for it is Sekkanoki > WS > Meditate > WS > Absorb-Tp > WS. After the second WS you will have 15 Tp back from WS and still 40Tp more from Meditate, just need absorb 45Tp from mob and there is where luck plays a important role.
In other words, you can do it but not 100% of the time. Take in mind that you have to be sure mob have Tp enought for absorb but not enought to use Tp move while you SC. Really very situational to count it as part of any strategy but hey, fun for solo!

If you have Hasso or Seigan up, Absorb-TP is too slow.
I practiced Sekka > WS > WS > ATP > WS on Campaign forts plenty after I got Quietus though. Your timing still has to be nigh perfect (we're talking tenth of a second window) on hitting ATP and the following WS though.

With a 5hit and capped haste, you can Self SC 1-2 times with just Meditate and/or good DA/TA/QA procs. A lot of it any way you slice it is luck on tp returns.

Guillotine -> Shadow of Death -> Insurgency to make light =)
Build 200TP, hit the mob 5 times
Sekkanoki -> Guillotine -> Meditate -> Shadow of Death -> Absorb Tp -> Insurgency right when Absorb animation finishes (right when the lights go into you) pretty tricky timing but once you get it, you got it =D

Also if you want to spike DD and go Drk/thf. Catastrophe > SA Spiral hell works. I don't have Quientus yet, but I am guessing Quietus > Spiral hell would work as well.
