Soloable +1 Seals?Follow

Honestly I'd level NIN whether for more than just soloing. It's become a common sub for me since I end up taking hate most of the time due to my damage.

As for seals that are soloable.

Feet: Gnawtooth Gary. He's pretty simple, slap on a few evasion pieces or sacrifice an atma slot for evasion(might not even need this at 90). Keep shadows up for TP moves and use Soulsoother to keep yourself alive. Can either try to keep him out of range of AoE, since it'll usually one shot him, or you can just quickly Deus Ex for a quick cure every time you need it. Really straight forward to be honest.

Body: Koios- VNM T2 in Aletpa. Again very straight forward, I went full on DD for this guy. Soulsoother puppet will stay alive easily since he really doesn't have any AoE moves. Only thing that would cause this guy to kill you imho would be if he 2hrs, which he won't do every time but it can still cause an otherwise extremely easy fight into death.

Legs: No idea, I did the quest for these back when Scars first came out.

Hands: Can't think of anything soloable on PUP for these.

Ok, thx for the replies so far, the main reason I have yet to level ninja is utsusemi ni, its about 1.5 million on my server and I havnt really found anyone I trust to do a bunch of under observation bcnm 40 yet. Been trying to save up by converting cruor but keep spending it on other things, <.< For atma I only have two, for solo without really a solid evasion set would you recommend gh and siren shadow, or gh and rr? I guess maybe I should test out a battle and see, I dont have stringing pummel so it might be best to to full dd atma and try and get a few more evasion pieces.

Now if only I didnt sell uts ni back in the day so many times to feed my obsession for having all the attachments. Its tripled in price since I left, 8'(

You're playing Utsusemi Fantasy XI. You should have your nin sub leveled regardless. There's no excuse not to have it leveled, really.

but as to the seals:

Quest the pants, it's fast and easy, and none of the pup leg seal nms are exactly... friendly... also, don't waste money buying sausages. They're so fast and easy to make in abyssea mis, and due to chat-menu mechanics, you can't be attacked while making them. Just grab a bunch of sheepmeat, make a bunch of sausages (+1/2/3 doesn't make any difference in terms of seal chances, just increases cruor reward and, inthe case of +3, gives a funny alternative dialogue, don't waste time trying to make them, because it's really, really annoying to do.)

Gnawtooth Garry for the feet. He's a complete joke, that you can solo with your eyes closed.

Hands... wtf did I do for hands... oh, right... Sharabha is the easiest of the three nms, though easiest isn't exactly the right word. You can solo him with /nin if you're smart and careful. Atma of the Earth Wyrm is a -huge- help, as is having a MDT gearswap macro, because incase you weren't aware, Stoneja hurts. Also, I personally included a soil sachet in my MDT gear, because I'd rather be alive than not be able to throw up a maneuver for 3 seconds/lose my TP, and occasionally absorbing earth damage can really save your ass in a pinch

body, I'm still working on personally. All of the NMs are pretty obnoxious, though Koios is more due being a VNm, and being overcamped than how hard he is to kill. However, there's a relatively easy (if not long and repetitive) quest in altep that gives the body seals. As long as you're not hurting for stones, I'd recommend doing that one. Otherwise just run the quest every time you happen to be in altep (it takes about 4-5 mins, depending on how good your memory is). The annoying thing about the quest is that there's no flux near it. You gotta run from either 3 or 7 to Revelation Rock (next to the dhalmels) and then run around and talk to a bunch of different npcs and then tell the quest starter what they said (it can change every time you do the quest).

While I understand your point, your last sentence made no sense to me. These solo fights should in no way be a kite fight. If you're kiting any of these NMs instead of straight tanking while soloing, you're doing it wrong.

It's only painfully slow if you don't know what you're doing, or you're trying to do something you don't have the skill/ability/experience to handle (note: skill/ability/experience in this statement refer to RL meainings, ie: skill at solo, proficient ability to solo, and personal experience soloing as pup). Or you're just buying time while the proc'er inyour LS who just logged as you popped the nm heads your way

Personally, I prefer solo because, for me, it's more fun. There's no challenge to a proc-party grinding NMs for seals. It's mind numbingly boring. Especially if you're in a party with a thf who doesn't understand how to use subtle blow gear, and refuses to not feed TP to a mob that has nasty TP moves because of lolplacebohunter... Case and point: Sharabha is NOT an easy solo. If you don't know what you're doing, you're gonna die, unless you get REALLY lucky. However, once you figure out how to do it, you learn a few really handy tricks that can be used on other NMs as well, like Iku-Turso (who's just as much of a bitch... ugh).

That said, if I go out to solo something, and a group is already there, I ask if they need the seals I need, and if they don't I offer my pop to team up. If they do, I just leave. If a group comes in and patiently waits for me to finish, or asks me what seals I need, I'll join up with them so long as they're civil about it. If they sit there and try to @#%^ with me, I'll sit there and @#%^ with them, and intentionally take forever to kill it just to piss them off. I've got over 600 stones and have absolutely no issue wasting a few to be a douche to people who are douches to me first

Also, lol @ kiting sh*t. I can understand blazing eruca, given that he can be a bit of a pain to melee, and since even in groups I've only ever kited him (keep in mind, I haven't fought him in like, 6 months). The only time kiting is a preferred method is if you can pin and you'll get completely demolished if you don't, or the NM has obnoxious TP moves and you don't have/know how to build a good subtle blow build (hai2ukeeshapoppo. 4k Magic Fruits need to gtfo)

lol, that damn rabbit dropped almost nothing but PUP feet while I was working on BRD seals... at least I have pup feet seals now

I just got VS a few days ago and i have to say that VS -> AS is even sexier, definitely a worthy goal, 8')

Nice, i would recommend starting to do WoE while waiting for VNM shouts, or any time when you have free time. I switched off between flux 7 and 9 at first then realized that 7 gave out much more coins and didnt take nearly as long, so i stayed there and managed to get 2 pouches of advancement, although it still took a week of regularly going 4-5 times a day.

The VNM's are easy though, just look for a shout, or start one and they go by really quick, it is possible to solo them, but i found if you can get a group together you can fly through them all with no risk/downtime, and there are normally plenty of people looking for the same nm.
