Char Name Vatic.. SMN 72 Taru.. World Garuda.
Last night, went to YY Robe mob. LS are asleep because they are from austraia, and I am un UK. I put out shout saying YY Robe for Vermy Robe.
I get loled at. But I stay because I want to know ToD. Weapon Pops. There is a Party of two who get claim. A SMN and a NIN (I think). They get agro from mobs around. SMN getting hit by a linking weapon. The two parties around just watch waiting for them to die.
I get carby to Carby tank the link. I kill link.. and they get weapon down to about 20%. I get tell asking if I can assist. I say yes. Accept party invite. Bring out Garuda and sent in.. The SMN dies. Predator Claws.. Other Member Dies.. Predator Claws.. Weapon is dead. YY Robe Drop.
Because they didnt accept my terms. I Raised the SMN so he could Lot and get YY Robe. I passed. I was just asked to help. Which I did.
I always thought that people of same job class help each other out. And I would like to think that I did the right thing, which is what I am proud of. But why does the YY Robe mob bring out the side of people that they will just let people die?

Look what I did! I actually used Lightning Armor, more than once, in an HNM fight!

I was in a holding party for one of Gulool Ja Ja's minions with a PLD/NIN who had double BRD and RDM support and another PLD/NIN who was kiting another minion. Since we weren't killing the minions, and the RDM had Phalanx and Paralyze covered, I found that a rotation of Earthen Ward, Lightning Armor, and Shining Ruby were the most effective on the tank(s). The fun part was trying to catch tank #2 while they were running their kiting circuit.
Has the Stun always been fairly active, like normal Shock Spikes, or was this a fix with the Enhancing Magic change? Because the tank that I could watch got a fair amount of breathing room out of a stunned Mamool ja when hitting those spikes.

Today my SMN 75 friend and I were babbling back and forth via /tell; he was about to go solo his BRD AF (Skeletons in Eldieme) and he mentioned Weeping Willow was up. After awhile I noticed he was in East Ronfaure again and said "So yeah, I forgot how bad Stonega IV could be"... he was fighting Lumber Jack solo.
I teleported out of Campaign to go help, and after killing Taisaijin otw (yay for rare title, he had been after it for 4 years now, lol) we decided to duo Lumber Jack. After multiple Carby/Fenrir/Garuda assaults, we kill it. No Blood Sword, but it was fun to fight it again. My previous memories of Lumber Jack were from 2005 when it practically killed a group of 10-12 I was with due to Stonega/Break spam... hell a RNG missed Eagle Eye Shot on him. So this was pretty funny to see how easily we could duo it without it even touching us. Stonega 4 on our Carbuncles landed for 63 damage every time.
Later we killed the BRD skellies for my friend's AF, Flaming Crush for 2436 ftw! It was a fun afternoon!

Lost lot on my eighth Summoner's Horn yesterday. Last four of which I was only lotting against one other person. It's one of only five items in the game my SMN doesn't have and that's if you include Nirvana and two of the other items are just ZNM items I haven't picked up yet. What's worse, that person was new to the shell and just became eligible to lot last week, when they got a Summoner's Doublet and now this. Oh yeah, and it's a person I've gone out of my way to help numerous times since they joined (although you can be sure that won't happen anymore). Grrrrrrrr

Yea, that ring is sickly expensive for what it does. The price is like a mage scorpion harness from 2004, except it doesn't help you do anything but rest faster.

And on a side note, I've seen more than one of the earrings made with the sapphire... each time it makes me die a little on the inside.

Some of these items are too rare, and the gear crafted from said materials sometimes isn't all that fantastic. Something so rare should be uber jawsome.
