Well, today i got my new rig and i finally got to play FF14. I had speed fan on while i was playing FF14 and was wondering if my computer temperature was stable to play this game or not. Once i started playing for about 15 minutes or so, my temperature started to scare me.

Here's what i have.

i7-870 2.93GHZ 8m LGA 1156

NZXT 120MM Water cooler with 120MM FAN

Coolermaster HAF 912 MID

nVidia 450 1gb

Here's my temperatures.

GPU : 71
System : 65
CPU : 65
AUX : 38C
Core 0: 60
Core 1: 58
Core 2: 55
Core 3: 65
Core 4: 60

Please help me !

You're getting that high a temperature watercooling in a HAF case??? Thats about 10 degrees Farhenheit higher than maximum on the CPU at least. Are you overclocking? If so, you aren't set up for it correctly, clock back as soon as possible before you damage something. If you aren't overclocking and you are hitting those temperatures, particularily on the CPU something is seriously wrong. Not enough clearance around the case for airflow, all of your fans in the case are disconnected, you forgot the CPU thermal grease, etc.

Yeah, i bought the graphics card superclocked. I regret it, can you show me steps to get it redone to stock or a little over stock to a gts 450?

The graphics card isn't the issue there, its your actual processor in the computer. To adjust those, you would have to go to bios. If you didn't set them that high chances are you aren't overclocking, so either whoever built your machine did, or there si something majorly wrong with the cooling setup.

Well, i bought my new rig from a website. The only thing i asked for was for my graphics card to be super clocked. How can i check if my liquid cooling is actually working and if thats not it, how would i lower settings for my processor ?

Do you have actual water cooling, or a self-contained liquid cooler?

Temps should be lower, but also aren't outside of operating spec. Still, yeah, if you're overclocking you should reduce the speed. Or make sure all your fans are blowing. The stock cooler would keep the CPU cooler than what you're seeing.

GPU is also pretty warm, but you can usually adjust that in the graphics card control panel.

Well, I reduced my GPU to basically a stock card and my processor wasn't clocked. How can i check if my fan is actually working ?

Crack open your case while your PC is on?

Okay, the fan works and all that stuff. My graphics card is basically stock now. My processor is not overclocked. I'm still getting the same temperatures. Should i buy two fans and add it to the case?

What is the exact model of your water cooler? I tried to do a search on NZXT 120MM Water cooler with 120MM FAN all I found was an old model that didn't fit your chip set. I just wanted to make sure it is self contained and not an add liquid running empty.

Hope it's not this cooler:

Doubt it has enough thermal dissipation for that setup, even if you were able to adapt it to fit.

This looked like the model in my computer. So it should be it.

hmm...may have a low fan speed going on there. If there isn't a way to set it higher, might want to get a high CFM fan on it, like a Scythe Kaze Yhuni or something.
