Installed but will not startFollow

Hello. I installed Final Fantasy 14 on my PC and created a shortcut on my desktop. When I double click the shortcut icon, I see a small black screen for a second or two, and then it goes away. Nothing happens after. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reaching out a helping hand. I'm sorry but I'm ashamed to say that I am not very good with computers... This is what I see by right-clicking My Computer and going to Properties. :\

System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Intel(R)
Pentium(R)4 CPU 3.00GHz
2.99 GHz. 1.00GB of RAM

And this is my Video card: RADEON X600 256MB HyperMemory.

That's all I know how to find. :( If there is anything else you need to know, please say so!
I'm thinking my video card is SO bad that I can't even launch the game. Again, thanks!
