Hello fellow zammerz!

I am planning on building a new rig pretty soon. I am starting a new job next week and moving without any PC. As soon as I get a place sorted I will hopefully order internet and a brand new PC!

Now, I have been doing my research and want a 6000 series either crossfire or single. I also want to upgrade my girlfriends amd phenom 2 x2 545 black edition with a hdmi graphics card. I will also need a new psu for her if I upgrade her gpu.

I was thinking o buying her gpu, using it until the new amd cards come out and then getting her a new psu and giving her the gpu.

My max budget, including monitor is around £1000.

If you need more information let me know.

Websites I was planning on using are www.ebuyer.com mainly and if a better deal exists www.play.com.

regards,

All you really need is a toaster with USB slots for your mouse and keyboard, honestly.

I'm not up on the latest AMD hardware, but looking over the recent Asus boards, I'd probably get the Asus M4A89TD PRO 890FX Socket AM3
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/220141 for £150

The 6xxx series ATI cards aren't out yet. They won't be out until mid to late november. so a 5970 is about your current top of the line possibility at £450

Case, could go with a Cooler Master CM 690 II for £90

Also for the record, computer components are really expensive over there. I get that same case for $60 dollars US over here.

PSu, I tend to like the Enermax series, their 1050 should be fine for any dual crossfire array you might want
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160297 at £188 not cheap though, and I have no clue if that will even work with your electrical current.

Ram looks like around £60

I guess before I write the rest of a build out, are you looking for components for a new build, or do you just want ideas on what components to get for your girlfriend's PC?

Let me try and re-phrase what I said as I seem to have mis-explained what I need.

I started my new job Monday. I need a completely new build, including monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers. Whatever else you think I missed.

I have been looking at an i5 760 build, but I am flexible. Just saw that amd released new cpus with better clocks as well.

What I tried to explain, and failed, was that I want to also get my girlfriend a new gpu. Her pc is the amd build iI made with an onboard gpu. I was thinking I could temporarily use the gpu I get for the amd build she uses until the 6000 series is out.

So summary:

Brand new pc + monitor + some stuff

When 6000 series comes replace gpu with new 6000 series and give the replaced gpu to girlfriend.

I hope I cleared that up.

The £1000 budget is including everything.

Thanks Kaolian
