Pre-Empy Suggestions PleaseFollow

This has prolly been covered time and time again, but I've been trying to figure out what are some good placeholder weapons and armor that I need to get while I work my way towards upgrading my Emp?

I'm currently in full Aurore gear with Koenigs Knuckles. I'm lvl 90 right now but will hopefully hit 95 tonight. I've looked around and there's just so much new stuff since I quit way back when that it's really hard to figure out what can be easily obtained and what's going to take some time. One set that I'd like to get is the kokugetsu set but I can't figure out how ppl normally get battle trophies.

Szabo is correct that it's not going to be too tough to get +1 pieces done. Body will likely be the most annoying one to complete.

Weapon - other than Taurine Cesti, Metasoma Katars are a solid placeholder option from the AH. Fire path magian claws are probably your best non-Relic/Empy weapon option, and can easily be done solo - just requires some time.

Armor - Aurore is designed as a good placeholder set until you can get Tantra +1/+2 pieces, no shame in using it until you can get something better.

Other cheap AH gear that's good includes:

Ammo - Thew Bomblet (eventually you can upgrade to the more expensive Potestas)

Earrings - Ghillie, Kemas are both solid pieces

Neck - Rancor Collar is affordable now, and very good (with max Tonberry hate). Calcitrant Stole is also very good and affordable - doesn't have as much offense as max hate Rancor, but it's very nice in situations where you might want to avoid the nasty damage taken+ effect (e.g. solo, tanking).

Back - Get Atheling as soon as you can (honestly, you can hang out by Orthrus and probably get people farming it for claws to GIVE you the 100% drop mantle). Vellaunus for cheap off the AH can hold you over until then though.

Rings - Rajas/Epona is what to strive for, but Heed and Keen rings are good cheap AH options. Spiral Ring is a great WS piece.

Hands - Melee Gloves+2 are a very nice piece. You need Forgotten Touch items from Dynamis to upgrade them to +2 (need 50 from NQ Melee Gloves, 30 from Melee Gloves +1). Can farm them yourself, or just farm whatever you want for gil and buy the forgotten items from bazaars.
