Apparently the Rutgers marching band is there? And the band from the regional school I would have gone to if I was 1 year older (and all my siblings went there)?

A little odd.

Have the chili peppers even done anything noteworthy since Californiacation? Still better than Metallica playing during the grammies, they've been grasping at straws for over 15 years now.

I don't know about noteworthy, but I kind of enjoyed Brendan's Death Song from their last album.

Manually typing this crap out is annoying. Don't even know if it works and if it's even the right video. Mellowish song, kind of reminds me of Under the Bridge. Vaguely.

Ugh, there are few things worse in MMO groups than ****** healers/tanks.

I can deal with bad dps. We can let them die when they pull instead of the tank. We can quickly replace them when they rage quit. We can generally pick up their slack (in leveling content, at least).

But bad healers/tanks? LOL, no. There's no recovering if they suck. And it's a long-*** wait if they leave. Particularly in FFXIV, where you opt-in to join parties in progress (and since tanks get insta-queues, few bother).

Just had a low-level FFXIV group. Gladiator (SnB) Tank was solid, Pugilist was solid, I was playing Archer. Realistically, it should have been a great group. Monk brings some pretty nice dps, Archer's DPS ain't shabby (particularly at this level, since Pugilist/Monk still get a bunch more DPS skills, where Archer specializes into Bard and gets a lot more utility skills).

Should have been super smooth...

If the healer wasn't waiting until the tank was nearly dead before casting Cure. And it's not like they were avoiding over-healing, because at that point it was 3-5 heals before they'd hit cap, and with the speed we were killing, it wouldn't have made their mp an issue.

Second time tank goes down because lack of heals, they apologize to the two of us, and leave.

Conjurer (White Mage's base) at that level is SO SIMPLE. It's literally just casting cure. That's it. That's all you do. Regen is a Whm skill. You don't have Cure 2 yet. No Esuna. You have Cure and an AoE heal Medica (which you should avoid using unless necessary, because it's expensive).

How "Just cast Cure" can be too complicated, I don't understand.

Not so much.

I'm still dumbstruck by the game. That was, I dunno, nothing like what I expected. Not that I'm complaining of course, but that couldn't have been a fun game to watch for the other 95% of America.

I've watcved the Super Bowl once, that was a mistake. I have no idea how people can watch American football, it's the most dreadfully boring game I have ever watched. Worse than curling.

HOW IS BABBY FORMED?

Aeth, basketball and baseball are much worse. Although I really don't enjoy watching competitive sports in general. Ball goes back and forth, guys chase after ball. How is that entertaining? Ice skating and gymnastics are two I used to watch with my mom and at least those have some artistry and variety to them. Don't watch anymore though. Why should I watch sports when I could watch anime or HBO?

Aeth, I think you say some of the most stereotypically European things I have ever heard. Not that that's a bad thing, just an observation.

So I got an invite to the Steam in-home streaming beta. Theoretically this means that I can take my super ****** old laptop and hook it up to the TV and play Skyrim at max settings using my Desktop's power. I can't wait to try this out tonight.

Yeah. Flea is the best bass player alive according to Rolling Stone. And anti-me - we both have the same color hair, that's it. Picture Flea up there, shirtless, and now picture me . . . no, don't do it.

How dare you. Your punishment for that is a 70s throwback (I'm supposed to be home working because of a snow storm and instead I'm goofing off).
Forgive the fact it's a commercial, the song is awesome and they did a nice job with the commercial itself, actually.

I also think American cars (especially pickups) are comically bad. Idigorry's car for example (sorry digg) still uses a live rear axle and leaf spring suspendion, freaking leaf springs... It's like it was made in the 50's.

But really, I think football (soccer for you) is dreadful for how much time they waste.

There's something weirdly primal about football. Roman Coliseum or caveman-like I'm going to club you over the head kind of thing. Going to a home game gives you that constant adrenaline rush from the crowd noise, add in alcohol and it's a hell of a high. Smiley: lol

Playing or watching? Because playing handball was one of my favorite sports to participate in, and I participated in them all, although to a very minor extent when it came to soccer and lacrosse.

Watching is a different story. You really need to know all of the rules for football, and understand the various defensive formations and the offensive plays. If you have watched a few games and think you know this, you are mistaken. American Football is a lot more complex than it looks. Of course, it looks like WWF wrestling with helmets so it would be pretty difficult for it to not be more complex than it looks.

And playing American Football does this to you:

. Although, he has a history of this type of behavior (1973):
