I've had a couple girlfriends with those. One tried to be like, "oh it's for my sore muscles!" and one 15 minute conversation later she finally admitted what she really used it for. Again we go back to the sexually repressed American culture. Smiley: oyvey

Hey, I've used it on sore muscles too! It actually does a pretty good job on that function as well.

But yeah, our sexually repressed culture is stupid.

So this just happened:

Screenshot

Literally the WHOLE other team was raging at me. They were /spitting on me as I was killing them and when I'd pop out on a healer, their whole team would gun for me.

Monkeynips isn't anyone I know, btw. He just started following me around near the end and assisting me.

I love PvP. Smiley: grin

I've accepted no matter what I do, I'll never get wrecking ball. We actually set me up for it (I had two pocket healers) and I still died at 19 because the other team got them in CC.

Maybe with Recup I could do it pretty easily now with a healer, but meh. Wasn't even trying for it in that BG, I was just doing everything I could to @#%^ their team up.

I think my hunter, rogue and warrior have it, although only my hunter really counts cause she's the only one to do it at level cap.

I have wrecking ball.
But I actually got it at level 82 or something, by smashing people in Isle of Conquest with a siege engine.
I had a ridiculous amount of killing blows.

Yup. Dead serious. I tried for a while, and through a comical series of mishaps, I gave up.

You can check my battle.net page. I think my DK might have it, but my rogue doesn't. Every person that I've PvPed with said it's hilarious that I don't have it.

The thing is that I don't really go for killing blows, I just work on the BG strategy. So in WSG I'm usually using FoK to snare everyone on the FC, same in TP, and in IoC and AV I'm usually way ahead of the battle. In AB I'm usually guarding a flag or ninja'ing flags.

So, yeah. Kind of hilarious at this point, but I was pissed about it for a long time. It's one of the reasons I quit, I think. Partners would tease me about it: "damn Korz, you're the best rogue to never get one of the easiest PvP achievements in the game, but you still suck".

I actually got mine on my hunter at 19 not twinked and killing twinkies because hunters are/were lololoverpowered at that level. I felt bad about that though so I redid it at 80 in all battlegrounds but AV and IoC. Because both of those BG's suck assballs.

Edit: Also, Theo, please tell me you at least can appreciate the design of my awesome new cups. Smiley: tongue

I mean, I think they're great, but I'd never pay for them.

That said, I mostly drink wine at home since beer-drunk puts me to sleep, where wine-drunk I'll just read books that make me really smart (or do PvP where I see like everything and do the craziest 1vNs ever).

If I paid €10 for a bottle of beer I better damn well drink it from a glass so I can enjoy the smell and flavour to it's fullest.
Also, I've got a pint glass, a weizen glass, a bunch of tulips (because Duvel tulips are <3), some chalices, flutes, snifters and a small egg shaped glass from Brouwerij 't IJ. It's important to drink a beer from the appropriate glass and frankly I just like beer glasses. Also, beer glasses are pretty <3

Actually, stronger beers like imperial stouts shouldn't be refrigerated. Of course, if you're drinking cheap pilsner serve it as cold as you can because then you won't have to taste it.

Diglett, this is why you need to read the Discworld novels:
*The Disc's greatest lovers were undoubtedly Mellius and Gretelina, whose pure, passionate and soul-searching affair would have scorched the pages of History if they had not, because of some unexplained quirk of fate, been born two hundred years apart on different continents. However, the gods took pity on them and turned him into an ironing board** and her into a small brass bollard.

**When you're a god, you don't have to have reasons.

Lol, that might be even more awesome without any context...

I'm writing a paper right now, while listening to the ME 1 and 2 soundtracks (not listening to 3, because I haven't beaten the game and don't want to hear the music out of context first). It's going to make it epic.

Which is good, because my topic certainly isn't. It's about how Elizabeth I's feminine identity was central to her ability to head a global empire.

There isn't any significant context, it's just a small footnote that adds some flavour and story to the world. The entire Discworld operates like that little bit of madness.

Sounds fun. Smiley: grin

Also, holy hell it's hard to give a clear, concise, and eloquent synopsis of the genealogy of kings and associated heredity issues that begin with Edward IV (meant Henry, doy) and last through Elizabeth I...

Especially since shared names just make everything choppy. And they're all intermarrying so their claims are so muddled anyway. Smiley: mad

[EDIT]

No, seriously. You get Edward III followed by Richard II (grandson) who is deposed by Henry IV (grandson of III by third son), Henry V (son), Henry VI (son) who becomes king at 9 months old. So he's challenged by Edward IV, who takes the throne (and more-or-less keeps it). His son Edward V disappears at age 12 (seriously) and his uncle Richard III takes the throne.

And then HE is deposed by Henry VII, who is descended by Edward III by an illegitimate relationship with his son, John of Gaunt. Then you get Henry VIII, who annuls his first marriage (leaving Mary illegitimate in England, but legitimate to the Church). He marries Anne Boleyn, who has a daugther. He has her killed, and declares Elizabeth illegitimate (making her unrecognized in both England and by the Catholic church). Edward V follows from his marriage to Jane Seymour, but he dies shortly into his reign. So then you have a huge mess in England, debating who has the right to inherit--whether or not Mary/Elizabeth are heiresses to the House of Tudor or not, and whether they (as Women) should be allowed to inherit at all.

Big. Mess.

I know that at one point, the Dutch King (Well, Stadhouder still then) was also the King of England and that the current Queen of the Netherlands is something like 20th in line for the English throne. If the French and Germans hadn't done away with their royalty I'm sure there'd be mingling there too.

Ugh, there's a ton of intermixing in there too. Henry VI is rightful king of France, as son of the French princess and given the right of inheritance in the treaty following the battle of Agincourt. But he's so young when Henry V dies that it just doesn't happen (that's right--Henry VI was heir to both England and France but was denied BOTH).

Well, he was one of the major players in England's takeover of Ireland, as well as a privateer. He was one of the backers for the Roanoake Island colony in Virginia, which was completely depopulated sometime between his voyages (and until recently, we didn't really have any clue what happened to them). He chased after El Dorado for sometime, and sacked Spanish settlements along the way. He was eventually arrested and executed, more or less because King James didn't trust him, and it allowed him to appease the Spanish.

There's also a good chance he was Elizabeth's lover.

Expensive pilsners are also best served chilled. I prefer pale lagers and according to Michael Jackson (the writer, not the musician), pale lagers are best served well chilled, at around 7ºC, which requires refrigeration, unless you've got a wine cellar and live in a very cold country (my parents' wine cellar is not 7ºC).

Mostly, though, I prefer my beer refrigerated because it's more refreshing. Same reason I prefer to drink cold water.

True, the same goes for more beers. but I tend to prefer the heavy stouts and such. Although I've been drinking IPA's lot over the past few weeks. That pungent pineapple smell/taste really grows on you.

Edit: Pigtails, I was talking about the time of the drama, some 76 years ago.

Damn straight. I rated you down a bunch to celebrate as well.

Wait...

We're a pale lager drinking nation.
So is my country and you've got Mikeller, Beer Here, Olfabrikken and some other really good breweries.

The joy that comes from drinking a quality IPA is a glimpse of heaven.
It usually has me desperately searching for something to get the bitter out of my mouth.
IPA's are an acquired taste, like the more vinegar like sours, the Belgian yeast and the coffee/cocoa bitter of stronger stouts. IPA's took me by far the longest to get used to and now there's one more style of beer I like that is bloody hard to get...

I'm convinced that the battle.net authenticator is a sobriety test.

TOO BAD I PASSED. SUCK IT BLIZZARD. Smiley: grin

A sobriety test in that it tests to make sure you're not sober so you won't notice how severely retarded the people in your BG/LFD group are?

I wish.

No, it tests whether I can operate my phone to unlock it, find where I put my @#%^ing authenticator app, and then whether I can enter an 8-digit passcode.

And luckily, I can do that while fairly severely inebriated. I also won both IoCs that I played in tonight, getting an achievement in both.

I think I may need to play intoxicated far more often. Smiley: grin

Who knows, maybe you suck less when inebriated and you'll finally be able to get wrecking ball.

Ookkkaaaaaay....

*Possibly NSFW.

Edit: XSARUS! Get yourself Brewdog's IPA Is Dead 4-pack if you can. 4 (75 IBU) beers with the same ingredients and recipe except that they all have 1 hop from a different continent. I'm drinking the HBC now and it's really @#%^ing good. I mean seriously jummy fresh fruity melon and pear and caramel and omnomnom.

I never knew a house full of rugrats could be so much trouble. Turns out a little child's birthday is as much of an event for them as it is their parents. Anyway, as of this weekend I own a three year old, or the other way around. So yay.
