I'm just curious at what level people have been able to successfully make these reliably. I've seen rank 11 in guides, but I've failed on 2 today at rank 12, with master support, and epiphany.

Apparently (it took me a while to figure this out) on this site when it says Rank 11 it means somewhere between 11-20. When it says Rank 1 it means 1-10. >.<
I wasted alot of attempts on stuff until I realized. I read people failing alot @ 12/14 so its probably more than that.

I failed my first 5 attempts @ rank 8.
I finally crafted one at rank 9. Tried again, and failed.
I then successfully crafted another one at rank 10.
On both successful crafts, I was using the guild gemmary. My failed crafts were using the master gemmary.
I haven't attempted since the last successful craft.

Went 6 for 6 last night at 13 Goldsmithing with just the common buff fairly easily. Most likely you can do it as low as rank 10 but with the cost of fish glue right now I wouldn't risk it unless you really need to.
I made one last night at rank 10, was a tough synth 1/2 on it

I am a lvl 14 GLD and have had no problem making the heads. I went 10/10 between 13-14 GLD. Didn't try to make them lower because Fish Glue is definitely not cheap. Would recommend a Common Gemmary though.

when i was rank 13 i had no issues with mine then handed it off to my carpenter and blacksmith friends to make my Harpoon and loving it.

Had no trouble, been using this recipe since rank 5 to rank up without support can't figure out what issue might be for people starting out. i just know it was a great way to rank up without spending many shards.

I used this recipe to level 1-10...never really had trouble completing them.
