Is success increased with level? if so how much? Eg. Lvl 17 needed to craft Scale Mail, A level 17 success would be 50%? a level 50 70%?

If i want a scale mail made, for example, how can i be sure the crafter isn't going to run away with ingredients or the item along with my gil i paid him? is there a system for this?

Is there like a book in game traders can put there name down in and people wanting a crafter can look in at their name/lvl/price ect? Its done in another MMORPG i played, or something similar to this?

Is their NPC's in game that can craft my items if i give them ingredients?

If someone could help with these questions it would be appreciated, thx.

At lv17, and from then on, you will have 5% chance to break.

You cant. You could make them trade you something of similar value before they craft, but I bet they wont.

www.ffxiah.com has a crafter list. Some server forums do too.

Have it said explicitly in tells, linkshell chat, say, or any recorded chat mode directly to him that you want him to synth for you. Don't trade until he agrees. If he cuts and runs the GMs will be more then happy to jail him until he coughs up your items/armor

What mattnumbers said.

Im not sure if it is commonly known, but if you agree to something in chatlog, GMs will enforce it as contract. If you are having something made for you, make sure to write the terms in the chatlog and have them agree to them. If they agree to the terms and then break it, GMs will jail them until they comply.

Places where you can make this work:

Prevent Ninja lotting. People can be banned for ninja lotting if it was laid out by organizer of event when people could/couldnt lot items. I have heard Dynamis shells do this via LS chat, saying that if you take the glass, you understand and agree to the terms.

Not get ripped off in trades. If you agree to pay someone x amount of money for something and they try and trick you and give you something that looks just like it but isnt, GMs will enforce the trade (though I think if the person never had the item they will at least have them give back the money). This works the other way too, if you dont pay the full amount, GMs will jail you and demand the rest of the money.

Also remember that if you are cheating in any way (even windower), NEVER SAY IT IN THE LOGS! If you admit to doing anything against ToS (read this if you havent or check a good summary on Kaeko's blog) it will be held against you if someone calls GM on you.
