So I uh am alting again...

Tonight I rolled Faller. (Term for guy who cuts down trees on west coast) He has a burly beard and scraggly hair. He is very burly. Faller will use the hunters axe and only the hunter axe + Blunderbuss. He will invest in only strength, Vit, and End. That's all Faller needs. He will waste no echos on trivial items.

Faller beat down the first werewolf with his bare fists. He chose to die in town only because he wanted to. *Spits chaw.

Anyway, one of my favorite Youtubers put out a guide on the fastest way to all the weapons in game. Might be useful for someone who was going on an alt binge or something.

It's just kinda how I play these games.I took my first DS character right to the last boss but did not beat him because I wanted to extend the experience. 4 nearly complete character runs later I went back and beat the game with my first guy. I just did nearly the same thing with my DeS run. Except I only took the NG+ plunge on my Templar, and did not get time to go back and do it on my Hunter and Royal because Bloodborne came out.

I love making new concept characters. Running through stuff I already know fast and clean, pushing a bit further, maybe going back to work on a different character on a whim. That's my favorite stage of these games. I mean once a character is level 150-200+ you are the stronger version of milktoast. Can do just about anything. That can be fun in it's own way later but not as fun as making concept builds is to me.

Also knocking Blood Starved Beast on his **** with a 2H axe power up is hilarious. I still died in phase 3 but lmao, knocked your ugly floppy face down.

Just had time to watch the video. Good stuff, matter of fact I was planning my next alt to do the early Eileen murder to BoM on a pure skill no split build.

Some thoughts on my characters so far:

1) STR/ARC split. Seems ok at first but they all do. Splitting like that left me feeling like I needed more VIT/END near midgame. I'm sure it works great at later levels and could be ground out to fix.

2)SKILL/BT split: Even going higher in BT without Chikage your relying on Skill for your melee weapon. Reiter and Evelyn are both cool but it starts becoming very consumable dependent. Can't fire guns as much as it would be fun too. Ditto above about VIT/END and it probably being great later with enough levels.

3)Current: STR no split: K.I.S.S. build, no reliance on consumables, Excellent power with Axe, lots of points left to spend on VIT/END. Seems good so far. For me it may be smarter to start like this, then split to a secondary once I am hitting soft caps.

4)Future SKILL no split: Plan is to get BoM and pump Vit/End with Skill same as above. At higher levels then maybe split to BT some to play with the cool guns.

Right now, I'm doing Arc/Vit/En with enough in Str/Sk to wield my weapon. My BT alt will do roughly the same, likely.

Just did the Pth Root Chalice dungeon. Bosses: Giant pig, 3 big guys, Watchdog again.

You going to try and kill Logarius early to get the Chikage on that BT build?

Every since I fell in love with quality str/dex builds in DS1 I can't resist the notion that I am going to make quality style builds for everything! I'm no where near good enough at Bloodborne to pull it off early though. I'll revisit it in the future after my focused builds though I am sure.

I'm planning to use Reiterpalasch for some ridiculous combos. You use a bone marrow, then parry with the Reiter, then shoot with the Evelynn. Gets the multiplier from hitting something parried and the one from the ash, since your right hand weapon can't benefit from and doesn't consume the buff for the ash. Added the scaling, it's supposed to be cannon level damage for a lot fewer bullets.

Sounds fun just keep in mind Reiter scales off skill and you will run out of ash and bullets. On the other hand if you pull it off I can totally do that on my second toon because he is mostly BT not to overly into skill yet. Smiley: grin

*edit to say: Soloed Blood Starved Beast All Melee did not even need one antidote the whole fight. Killed the Witch. Gonna Go get snatched so I can get my Axe to +6 (Its +4). Love this focused strength build so far. *Cough I mean to say "Faller has a quota of beasts to cut down for each day" he is always ahead of schedule. *drinks whiskey

Faller does not take Snatchers to the stairs. Snatchers run from Faller to get to the stairs.

With Blood Bullets, I'm not too worried about it. Will probably need to put a bit into skill, but I think I can more or less use mostly guns for bosses.

Man I just can't get over how much better this build is, night and day. Rocking 33 STR 20 VIT 20 END currently. Barely had to grind at all, except to +6 the ax but that was short. Most of my points are going into leveling because I don't need to buy consumables or experiment with weapons I have already tried.

Axe is best Axe.

Paarl Down. Amelia Down. Moving on to forest, and you know Loggers like forests. Faller approves.

I found a nifty magic item that lets me turn 6 bullets into a bolt of electricity. Thus far seems useless. Also found a magic item that shoots blood skulls for three bullets. Haven't tested it.

Several new chalice bosses down. Only recorded one. Also downed Rom, the Vacuous Spider. I attempted to make Kao proud and burn the little spiders to death with the flame sprayer, but no luck. Vids are uploading now.

Grats on Rom! Also nice work on the Pthu Descendant, that's pretty much the way to do him from what I have seen.

I don't think I will be as far behind you soon. Faller is a beast. Also Faller decided if stuff is taking to long to chop, then shoot it with a cannon. ( I haz cannon now) rawr

Good thing it only takes about two hours to get to the shadows of yharnam fight. Smiley: disappointed I got the short cut in the building probably missing one. First try I did get them 2 dead 1 to 30% though. **** snakes anyway.

There are two short cuts between the lantern and the boss. The lower one is near the lake by the space aliens.

Awesome thanks. I'll look for it later tonight. It's gorgeous here today so I am going for a walk in the sun but so far from the design I knew it really could not be that long. Forrest is kinda crazy though, really tries to mess with your brain with all the optional directions.

It's not too hard to find. There's a big pond next to what I'll call a river with a giant pig in it. There are three(four?) paths going off that. One's the river, one leads to little blue aliens and one has a snake man guarding it. Kill the snake man and head up the hill to find an elevator. Once that's open, you just have to backstab him after doing the same to the one on the bridge and running through the dark windmill, then you can easily juke the two pigs and the weird floating corpse thingies on the way to the boss.

Also, if you found the NPC up on the mill's roof, if you sent him to Oedon Chapel, he will start killing your NPCs there eventually. You may want to go up there and kill him. He'll be outside the building at first. If you haven't found him, I'd send him to Iosefka's place if you do.

Edit: I just quick ran my roommate's character(who looks like The Joker, btw) to the cannon. He's going to use it on Gascgoine. Will post video if he records it.

Holy Fook I've never been so happy to find a shortcut in my life. Thanks.

Noped out of there with 33k XP. The woods are nuts for XP. Gonna use the shorty and eat some shadows now. Faller has 40 STR, his Dad had 50 but it's a start. *drinks

Faller has no strong feelings about shadows. If shadows need cutting down Faller will cut them. (Shadows down)

It didn't go as well as I would have thought. I'm not sure if he wants to upload the vid since he says, and I quote, "I am no good at this game." I'll keep trying to convince him, but I wouldn't hold my breath at this juncture.
