I like ESO. I find the skill system fun to play around with, crafting looks decent although I didn't do a whole lot of it, the NPC's have the sorts of quirks I've come to expect of Elder Scrolls, although I wish they were more vocal about them, and no matter what Dig says, it looks a lot like Skyrim to me.
I found that it varied enough from traditional MMO play to keep me interested (for example, I like that if I want to play like a mage, or a thief, that has very little to do with class and everything to do with weapon), but was familiar enough to keep me comfortable.
Agree about bugged quests and bugs in general, along with stability issues. The build they used for this weekend's beta is a few iterations behind the one they've got on the PTS so hopefully they've got most of that stuff worked out, or will do by launch, or it'll be pretty aggravating.
I don't know that I'd play it for more than 6 months (tops, as is right now - give me a Hearthfire-style house to work on and we can talk), but I do think I'll swap my sub over to it for long enough, and it'll keep me entertained enough, to be worth the purchase price. Which is all I need really; I've come to accept that WoW has eaten my soul and I'll almost certainly go back to it every time a new expansion comes out.
