I've applied for the beta, but haven't pushed through with it yet. I need to make sure it will work with all my various perephrials, especially the Saitek instrument cluster.

They let me in beta in February(?) about 2 days after I applied. Either I got muy lucky or WoT players got priority, I dunno.
I don't play much as I dont have a flight-stick thingy.
BTW, if you know a way to lock the camera so it stays forward view from the top of the tail, let me know. I can't play decently without that and if that is possible I can't see it in the options.

Some of my friends play with k/m, personally Idk how they do it, but they got use to it and are pretty good at it...I play with a joystick - and it's great. so, it's a personal thing I guess. sticks are not as expensive either, just shop around you'll see.
You should be able to adjust the camera view. you can zoom in and out (there are three fixed settings), by using the mouse wheel to adjust it - btw it's fixed. that being said, check out the settings, there are multiple views you can select (including sniper), and lots of hud/instrument customization...
