How the **** am I going to decide between Dorian and Bull for romancing? Impossible.

Also, I wish there were more dialogue triggers in the world. The zones are so vast, I'd appreciate a little more chatter.

I choose Dorian. The only downside I had to him was that his whole Parents hate that I am gay thing felt a little flat. It was to rushed for a problem so interlace in a gay man life and felt like it was rushed or written by someone who never experienced that before.

I do agree on the chatter. They really need to talk more.

Didn't have much time to play the last few days so I was just finishing up last night. Reached the climax Morrigan-dragon crashing into Archdemon-dragon and the game crashed to desktop Smiley: glare

It was 12:30am so I figured I should just go to bed. Guess I finish it tonight.

I just got this tonight, and I was grinning or cackling the entire time. Definitely a refreshing change of pace!

I also managed to romance Cassandra through some good ol' fashion item-hunting. Honestly, not a bad ending. Her telling me about her former lover gives me a decent insight to her actions. And... BOOBS!

You have inspired me good sir to pursue my heart. Or maybe perhaps it was the weekend and Jameson. But I broke it off with Frills. A momentary distraction to be sure. For a gruff warrior like me it was always Cassandra. Our scars interloped and *cough um yeah I hit it.

In other news I respeced her in honor of such joyous occasion. She is now templar/vangaurd and is as unkillable as me. She gives guard to the entire freaking party. No one takes damage anymore. Everything dies before us rawr!

/end cheese Smiley: lol

I'm getting closer to the end... or rather, I'm getting close to finishing out all the zones doing non-story quests Smiley: lol Just took the keep in Emprise, and I'm just shy of level 21. Only zone I haven't really touched is the Hissing Wastes (just went in far enough to find the tier 3 schematic vendor).

The zones kinda just blend together without a big story quest sending me to them, though.

In case anyone's interested, I heard that DA took game of the year at the Dorito's Pope's awards show last night.

Much to the wailing and gnashing of the Bayonetta devotees, it seems.

Finished the game last night. Thought the epilogue was a little shallow compared to DA:O given the world-altering potential of the Inquisition. Surprisingly, re: the Divine, Leliana had previously told me she thought she would make a keen Divine and I pledged her my support. Then, at the post-fight banquet, Cassandra told me she heard she would be voted Divine. So much for the political might of the Inquisition.

As others said, the final battle wasn't too challenging (I was on Normal though) and my Herald rolled the guy in the last fight without using a single potion. I think I was still using Tier 2 stuff, too. I had a Masterwork Dwarven mace with a Master Cleansing Rune in it for 298 DPS, some unique plate armor (225 Armor?) and a crafted shield I think was 30 Armor with a Walking Fortress effect. Having the mace meant I stabbed the dragon in the neck at the end... with a mace. That had to hurt.

By nice coincidence, Myself, Cassandra, Varric and Solas (got the band back together for the showdown) were all dressed in some sort of gold armor and looked pretty ace going into the last scenes. Wish I had screenshots of our beginner armor and our final gear.

Game of the Year! Debating whether to make my next run a rogue or mage. I sort of want to play a dwarf so that means rogue but mage looked like fun from the times I took the wheel on Dorian/Solas/Viv...

I'm a little annoyed with that one judge who said he would have thrown a fit if Bayonetta had won, but meh aside from that. Game award shows aren't all that big a deal. Hell, most non-game awards shows aren't that big a deal either.

I didn't even know about this award show, so I give negative... I can't be bothered to break the filter, but a word that rhymes with ducks. Age of Wonders clearly should have been the winning game, though.

The Hinterlands Dragon is level 11 or 12 so you could give it a try. Worse that happens is a reload.

Depending on build and gear 12-14. At 12 I could take down hinterland's dragon to half health. Went and did other things came back at 14 or 15 I forget and completely shut it down like the fight was nothing. Not sure if it was the level difference or if my gear was just that drastically better the second time around.

Anyone find the hissing waste dragon to be surprisingly way more difficult then the other dragons? I up the difficulty to hard half way through the game cause I was getting bored rolling over enemies like they were made of paper. And that dragon refused to die after half health for me on hard and still put up a good fight when put back to normal.

Count me among the finished. I was level 20 when I did it and although I did not have too much trouble it still seemed fun. Despite my ******** about some parts of the game overall I give it flawed masterpiece status.

I shall now reroll.

I was GOING to reroll except that when I click on Dragon Age Keep from the title screen to confirm my world status, it crashes the game. The supposed fix is "wait an hour and try again later" Smiley: rolleyes

I dorked around with the Bioware site trying to get it to acknowledge my other Wardens and then it supposedly takes upwards of a day for the Keep to sync up so I guess I'm doing Wolfenstein: TNO tonight.

I was always a softy with Leliana and never defiled the urn but the World State tapestry thing has an option for "Killed Leliana after defiling urn". So, uh, how does DA:I explain that one away? Do you just not get a spymaster?

I also finished up the game this weekend. I agree that the ending was a bit underwhelming. Cory and his dragon were a push over. Though I was level 23 with full crafted gear on my party, pretty much everything in the game was a pushover by then. The story ended a bit abruptly, though I don't think they could have done much else and still let all of your choices affect the end. It was still a a little disappointing though. The only thing I really regret though is never finishing a romance. I started one with Josie, but I didn't bother to further it along until almost the end of the game, by then it was too late to finish.

I probably won't be playing it again anytime soon. I was pretty thorough in most of the zones, so there isn't much left that I missed. The Hissing Wastes had a few things left in it, but by then I just wanted to finish up the story. I did do the quest for the Dwarf tombs though, so I got most of the storyline for that zone done. I think if I did play again that I'd try Rogue. Mage was fun, though Knight Enchanter was a bit overpowered. I'd like to try my hand at a DPS class that isn't damn near invulnerable.

Trying a female dwarf dagger-rogue. I am incapable of touching the makeup options without instantly making my character look like a refugee from Whore Island.

Count me as one of those who finished up; after Emprise I decided to just rush the end. 2 hours or so later I was done. I thought the ending was pretty interesting, but it totally leaves room for DA4. I for one did not see Solas being the Dread Wolf, or Flemeth being Mythal. So that was pretty interesting.

I need to replay the end again to see if I caught all the relevant lore.

But I've also started a new character; female dwarf warrior. Trying it on Nightmare... should be interesting.

No, she's still there. Probably something to do with the panacea religious artifact right by her corpse, who knows. I've avoided the details because spoilers.

I would say he was more Ginny then Voldermort.

They really should of had the narrative about how things went down during the credits. On their own it was just like a... Uhhhg history lesson.

The game is ridiculously large. Story wise, I'm pretty much just one step past getting Skyhold (I cleared out the Freemen stronghold in the glaves, and the Wardens in Western Approach, but haven't done Adamant yet) and I'm like level 16 or something. I'm going to be SUPER over-leveled by the end.

Also, Knight-Enchanter is absurdly OP. Not even slightly - it's the level of OP that lets you solo high dragons without gimmicky tactics. This is like an homage to Arcane Warrior on steroids, since the KE has solid damage on top of the defensive ability.

Still unsold on if I want to romance Bull or Dorian. I think I might go with Dorian, because I might do a Tal-Vashoth run next, and I'm curious about how that angle will change things.

Some thoughts now that I've beaten the game once:

1. Still a little shocked about the Solas spoilers. And a little hazy on the timeline. When did he go to sleep, and when did he wake up? My best guess is it was during the events of The Masked Empire, but it's not said for certain. Why did he hand the Orb over to Corypheus; I know, he says because Corypheus had the power to use it, but couldn't he have found someone else? What was his goal with the Orb? At the end, did he kill/absorb Flemeth/Mythal, or did they possess him?

2. After doing Blackwall's story I never want to use him again. It also felt very... unresolved. After sentencing I expected a cut-scene when talking to him... but he stayed bland and boring with nothing unique to say for the rest of the game. I was a little annoyed that it never came out and explicitly said he never went through the Joining.

3. I think I accidentally "hardened" Leliana in this game, and her personality shift is awkward. She goes full homicidal. And then became the Divine. Nice. Chantry runs red with blood.

4. When Alistair appeared at the end of Redcliffe (sided with mages), why was there no mention of him hearing The Calling like every other warden in the world? Unless his mother's cure somehow passed to him and now he's lost his Grey Wardening abilities too?

5. Now that we know what the Eluvians do, why did they kill people in previous games, and why was it so bad that Merrill was playing around with one? I guess the latter makes sense since she was making deals with demons and the Eluvian puts them into a place "next to" the Fade. Maybe it's easier to gain possession there?

6. Why wasn't the idea of the Joining floated to Alexius? He was dying of Blight poisoning; may as well have taken the 33% chance to live as a Grey Warden, right?

7. Time travel in Redcliffe with Fiona. How did that work? Obviously the entire world didn't travel, because the Inquisitor remembers the meeting but Fiona forgets it.

8. The whole "the dragon is Corypheus's weak-point!" seems a little ridiculous. I won't ask to explain it, as it's BS. Unless someone thinks it's not and can explain why it would weaken him.

9. Did whoever you leave in the Fade possibly survive? The option doesn't say they WILL die, just that it's likely. I don't recall seeing them fall in combat. As a side note, anyone else disappointed we didn't get to fight the giant Nightmare Spider?

10. Wicked Hearts was neat looking back at it, but stressful as heck at the time. I felt like I was running around looking for something unknown. I thought the ending I got was ok (Celene lives, Gaspard executed, Briala exiled, Florianne boxed), but I honestly didn't quite understand what I was doing at the time. I think it'll just be frustrating on subsequent runs.

11. I'm looking forward to mixing it up a bit for teammates in my next game. This game I used Varric every time and Blackwall instead of Cassandra after I recruited him. Last spot was either Solas or Dorian, usually Solas. Now I'm tempted to go tank in this game (female dwarf warrior), use Sera instead of Varric, and either grab Iron Bull or Cole as my fourth. My mage will be Dorian, as I couldn't stand Vivienne after a few banter conversations. Anyone else have dedicated bench-warmers?

12. I was a little disappointed in Skyhold. Only three infrastructure upgrades, no customization possible for them. I had hoped that the effort put into the castle would have some result on the ending (like Vigil's Keep in Awakening).
