Did you check your TV's settings to see if it had an option to use the audio from the HDMI channel? It's *** backwards I know, but some TVs have that setting in place.

Apparently, in DA3, you're going to play as an Inquisitor (I'm guessing for the Seekers, which would make sense as they're the only big group I can think of that is actively at the middle of the conflict, and not on a sale). The game's basis is that the breach into the Fade that appears in the sky, presumably one massive tear in the veil, has appeared and you need to get there to see what the f*** is going on.

Also, rumor is that Sony is launching with 3 PS3 models, starting at $399.

Ewww did they really say $499 For the Xbox.... Sony can head shot MS with a $399 Price tag.
From Gamespot, the rumor is Sony plans several different models hitting the $400 and $600 price points. I don't know what the differences are.

Same HDMI input that my cable box was connected to, Assuming it can use sound over the HDMI input.

If it has Anders in it, I'm nailing the EA building shut and lighting it on fire.

I forget, were you able to kill him off in DA2?

If so, I'm definitely using that save game for DA3...

Wow, that's the first time I've ever hit post, and had the thread load... with a post after mine.

And Sony really pulled the worst spot for this thing...

[EDIT]

Yes.

Well.
Turns out all I had to do was unplug the mini hdmi from my PC and plug it back into my PC, and sound works. Actually the exact same as in this thread here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1115637/no-sound-over-hdmi-gtx-580
and here:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/484287/geforce-500-400-series/580-hdmi-audio-not-working/

Edit:
Added bonus, now I can play my LEGO games on the big screen with my Xbox controller. I love games with native Xbox controller support.

Synopsis of Bioware info on DAI wrote:
open world rpg, thanks to frostbite
it’s a synthesis of the past two games - tactical like origins, more fluid combat and animations of da2
PC players and console players each to get good experience
coming fall 2014

General stuff: They're working on the new Mass Effect at Bioware Montreal. A new IP is being developed by Casey Hudson and co.

Frostbite is their new standard engine, which (in combination with the next gen), allows for more data-heavy games.

I imagine they'll be some sort of char gen tool for the PC that will let you make that particular choice.

That said, the situation in which you have to choose to kill him was actually well done, in my opinion. Anders blows up the Kirkwall Chantry, with no warning, and it causes Meredith to call on the Right of Annulment, even though the Circle Mages weren't even involved. That's the most significant spark for revolution.

So then you can either kill Anders as punishment, force him to fight with you (on whichever side of the conflict you choose), or banish him. He allows you to make that choice, as he feels his victims demand Justice.

Does a lot to justify killing him. My Hawke was in a relationship with him - still but a dagger in his heart.

Any right before PS4 Press conference any predictions, I think they are going to have a 399.99 and a 499.99 price point, they are going to say they wont have intrusive DRM, and no registering game to system like Xbone.

I think they'll say little about the DRM, to avoid any backlash, letting MS take it all and slip it out later.

Because they are running a little late? They started letting people in the building about 10 mins ago It sounds like they are waiting for everyone to get in before starting

Ahh, ok. The commentators made it sound like this was more of a technical problem.

Even if it was a technical problem, there's an extremely good chance it would have nothing to do with Sony. Assuming this is like a normal trade show, the event hosts would be working in conjunction with their own vendors to provide most connections/services for the shows. So a huge part of the equation is completely out of Sony's control.

These are generally contract agreements made between the building owners/operators/relevant union leaders and the service providers. There's no going around them, and it gives the show operators a great deal of control they wouldn't otherwise have.

Imagine the hell of setting up the show if each major provider was doing whatever the hell they wanted, demanding excessive data/power connections, etc.?
