The entirity of my experience with Norton was 3-4 years ago, and it was hell. My parents were getting free AVG through their ISP, and the company switched to Norton from McAfee (score x2).

The program was worse than any virus I've ever seen. The system slowed to a crawl, even when it wasn't scanning. Start-up increased to taking several minutes. And this was for all of their machines--including their brand new laptop that had never had McAfee on it, so it can't have been from a bad interaction with a remnant of that program.

I have no clue what the protection is like, because at this point I would choose zero protection with caution over Norton. Maybe they just had a really bad experience. Maybe that years' suite was uncharacteristically awful. But the fact that it had the same effect on their old systems as the brand new one makes me think it wasn't a program interaction.

Remember a company is not required to disclose a breach unless sensitive customer information is accessed, and your name, address, and email do not count as sensitive information. Now imagine the backlash if Blizzard admitted to a breach, regardless of how small or insignificant. The media would rip them to shreds and almost every customer who ever had a compromised account would be demanding compensation.
I disagree. The PSN incident taught us, I think, that we don't view breaches as the end of the world. It's all in how a company handles them. Hiding a breach only to have the info surface later as you realize that you have to tell your customers is what will cause problems.

During the summer somehow my inactive Rift account got compromised when Trion did a freebie weekend. Like 3 months later, somehow my Bnet account got taken, too. I never could find anything on my system trying multiple programs and I've always been pretty damn careful with not trusting emails. Basically, if I ever got anything from a gaming company, I'd start from their home page and try to find word on any specials that way. Not that it's very common I'm tempted to do even that. Overall, my primary email account that I associate with any game is very rarely introduced to spam and for sign ups where I expect such, I use my age old Yahoo email that I seriously made pre-2k.

Yeah, pretty much.

Norton was resource intensive, annoying, and about as easy to dispose of as a dead body. It's utterly scandalous that it was released in that state. The company deserves to be bankrupt, and would have been if not for the trust the naive and unsavvy put in the recommendations of resident 'experts' in computer shops.

Interesting, Im on Act 2 about half way through atm but I think I might tinker around with a build like this, change a few things, Im Not having a ton of issues atm with what I'm using, But this might be a good boss build, for solo. Idk, Nice setup though. For Groups I sould see switching in Cleave + Reaping swing

The story is kind of a joke. You can scratch out some names and replace them, and you'll have something very similar to the Starcraft story.

Jim Raynor "The Nephalem" (player character) has the ability to tip the balance in the war between the Protoss the High Heavens and the Zerg Hell. Zeratul Tyreal believes that the humans are the key to ending the conflict, and wants to help them. Tassadar Imperius doesn't really like humanity at all, because they have the potential for good or evil.

You can even point out (big story spoilers) a certain red-headed female becoming corrupted and ending up leading the forces of the antagonists.

As one guy on reddit pointed out, the expansion will probably be about:
Quote:
My thoughts: Jim Raynor, I mean The Nephalem, will have to bring Sarah Kerrigan's, I mean Leah's, soul back to the good guys side. In the mean time the Zerg, I mean Prime Evils, will be gathering their power once again and have an epic fight with the Protoss, I mean Angels. It shall be called Heart of the Swarm, I mean... actually Heart of the Swarm might work.

One question, as I still haven't gotten around to playing SC2. Tassadar's back? Or did you mean Aldaris?

Probably what you said. I was never good with Protoss names, and I didn't really want to slog through the SC wiki to make sure.

Also, Morrigan is a miniboss. The voice actress plays Chlamydia Cydaea, the Maiden of Lust (and consort of Azmodan, Lord of Sin and end boss of Act III), and doesn't even really try to change her voice.

Probably, then. If it was Tassadar, you'd probably remember the whole big to do about how somehow he was alive after crashing his ship into the overmind back in SC1.

Just picked up D3 over lunch. Are all you folks on US East? Are there specific servers within each zone?

Also, having only read the first and last dozen or so posts in the thread, I'm shocked beyond belief that every post isn't some variation of a MọÂnk Item joke. Smiley: disappointed

It's fun that after 12 pages, people still take the guy seriously and post serious "@#%^ you" comments in response.

Man dies after playing Diablo 3 for 72 hours straight. (False story, apparently)

Only funny because of the first responses were a variation of:

Quote:
I can't believe the servers stayed up 72 hours straight for this to even occur in the first place.

If you think Act 1 is difficult, from what I hear just wait until Act 2. It's a slaughterhouse.

It is. I can handle up to the butcher relatively easily on my wizard but I had a friend skip me to act 2 so I could do some farming since I was hitting his soft enrage. Holy bean bangs act 2 is hard. I couldn't get past the very first couple trash pulls. Smiley: laugh Oh well, back to punching zombies in the face in Act 1.
