I agree. The part at the end, where Shepard and Kolyat pray together for her soul was especially powerful.

Mordin's death scene was quality, too. Too bad he didn't have the original VA, which is what I ended up focusing on. Very unfortunate. The Thresher Maw attacking the Reaper was AWESOME though. Was easily my favorite part of the trailers, and it didn't disappoint. That whole part of the mission was very, very cool--

"There's a REAPER IN MY WAY WREX."

"I know, you get to have all the fun."

Smiley: lolSmiley: lolSmiley: lol

Took me a while to realize that I wasn't supposed to kill the Brutes though. Died multiple times trying to kill them all.

I used them as travel points for vangaurd charge to move across the arena to get to the two things. That fight between the Thresher and the Reaper was seriously epic.

That does sound like it would be effective. I was mostly just trying to frantically avoid them. :P

You guys get anything good? So far I have only gotten my Victory pack(brutes). It was not so great, some normal consumables and a level 5 version of a pistol I don't use because it's not as good as the Carnifax.

According to this:

http://social.bioware.com/forum/Mass-Effect-3/Mass-Effect-3-Multiplayer-Discussion-/Operation-Goliath-Rewards--10341890-1.html

They are backlogged on the commendation pack(silver Reaper extraction), but we should get them by 9PM.

Meh. A couple consumables, a weapon upgrade, and a Raptor II Sniper Rifle, which I don't use.

I got a Revenant. Not useful for my Sentinel, but might be nice for a Soldier. Also a Sniper Thermal Clip III, which will be nice if I try Infiltrator next. Is this Premium Veteran Pack new, or is it because I just hit 20?

I think new, first time I"ve seen it and I'm working on my 3rd 20...

Oh plus all I got was a M-6 Heavy Pistol...

oh lord, I knew it, I just knew it... I got the N-7 Hurricane SMG in the commendation pack. The one I did not want the most. *shakes fist at Murphy

*edit on the brighter side, at least I got something for my silver reapers clears. My other worry was none of my wins would count because I did not host them.

I got the N7 Pistol... pretty sure I'll never use that. Oh well.

[EDIT]

Lol, I hit 100%... and the reward says +4% MAXIMUM readiness. lololol. That sounds dangerous, so I promoted my Sentinel to stop myself from playing him more. ;) Gonna go play the campaign now.

[EDIT2]

Lol, the news feed on the login screen was kind enough to inform me that I just passed Pold in rank. I'm not last anymore! :D

Sorry Pold

I work tonight, but then have the next 4 nights off. It's on. Smiley: tongue

Edit: Got a Widow out of the Victory pack. Woo! Also a level 1 SMG out of the commendation pack, which is cool, I guess.

Damn, and I just swore off multiplayer for the moment...

Meh, I break my promises to myself all the time.

[EDIT]

CONFUSED. My Galactic Readiness was 100% an hour ago (100% for each section). Now each section is listed as 99%). What?

[EDIT]

I see, it goes down 2% or so a day. :/ Still annoying to see it go down just after getting it up there.

It degrades but it's pretty easy to keep up, if you play a match a two after capping before you finish the game. Also when it is at 100% you get an XP bonus for your character instead.

I still have not promoted anyone. It adds 75 to your N7 rating. My rating is like 120-130 ish. The top guy has 7000+ with the second closest at 4k. I'm guessing he farms gold Cerebus with friends maybe even in shifts and promotes characters all day/night. I just play for fun. :)

There's a thread on Bioware forums about people cheating in multiplayer. So this guy might not be legit ... 7000 after only 2 weeks seems a bit much unless he's been playing 24/7 or spent 5000$ on specter pacts.

Oh my bad I thought it was 75 to both. Yeah when I looked at the top numbers this weekend they were around 2300 N7 rating. Now that guy is up to 7k tonight? Smells fishy. Their were lots of people in the 1000's but even that is borderline no life. Ladders make people crazy.

Yeah, those suck. The only thing that allows me to kill them is the fact that even shielded enemies can be staggered by a strong enough hit from a concussive shot.

I really wouldn't worry about it too much. I tend to get bored of the 5 minute wait times I usually see, so I doubt it'll mean much more than a couple extra hours a day each of those days. Now that I have enough of you all friended on Origin, we should really try to get some games going. A bunch of games with no wait time sounds like awesomeness to me.

Oh, and got bored and headed to TVTropes. Here's an interesting tidbit if you skip the Grissom Academy mission.

missing the Grissom Academy side-quest leads to Jack being kidnapped and experimented on by Cerberus AGAIN after she'd finally managed to build a life for herself. You get to hear records of her being tortured when you hit the Cerberus base...shortly before having to kill the Phantom they turned her into.

That's so cruel! MAYBE I'll do it for my inevitable renegade run through all 3 games, but even then... IDK. She's had such a painful life; I hate the idea of causing her more.

[EDIT]

Also, I just don't understand why your waits are so long. I've never waited longer than 30 seconds, I think, to get placed into the lobby.

And I was just kidding--ladders (as long as they aren't post counts) mean nothing to me. :P

I strongly suspect that it's because most of my playtime is at ~8-10am.

Edit: Wait just a gorram second.

I guess it's different since I'm on PS3 but I never wait. As soon as I click to get a match, it says "searching for game" for about 2-3 seconds then I'm in the lobby. I usually play in the afternoon from maybe 1 to 4 pm eastern time. I played at night also (after midnight) and no difference, games are pretty much instant.

Apparently cheating on your ME1 lover with someone in ME2 doesn't necessarily result in conflict.

Averted if you cheat on Ashley with Tali. Ashley comments, "It's okay. She's like a sister to me." Also, Tali doesn't take getting dumped hard at all and will still be seen with Garrus later in the game.

Oh hi random stranger on the street. You should genetically modify your child. No, no. Really. You should. Let me walk you there. Toodles!

[EDIT]

Stupid image on the wiki just totally spoiled a pretty significant aspect of the Illusive Man's character. And I wasn't in an area with spoilers, I was looking up some info about tech abilities-they have a stupid "images on this site" box on the right that indiscriminately shows them.

I'm seriously tying up loose ends left and right in this game.

No ending spoilers contained in here, but god damn it spoiled my evening.
Quote:
The PTSD commando implied that she had to kill a farm girl so that banshees won't find them due to the noise of the girl crying. The operation took place in the colony of Tiptree. The farm girl wanted to be a pilot when she grew up. Joker had a conversation with Liara and was worried about his sister, Hilary, in Tiptree. The farm girl's name was Hilary.

Spoilers avoided. I saw it mentioned the ending and was all NOPE. Quickly moved down to the Tali section to avoid spoilers.

Anywho. I can't really say I'm surprised that they would use a stock image like that for Tali's face. I am really disappointed, though. Couldn't they have gone the extra effort and have an artist make a portrait to use there? I know it's a small detail, but it's also a pretty significant one if you romanced Tali. It's a huge part of her character development that she was able to take that picture on her homeworld.

But whatever.
