Ugh. Still have to wait till thursday until I can pick ME3 up and then have to suffer through work until I get home to play it! Curse you, responsibilities and slightly belated EU release dates. Curse you, I say.

I'm Pre-Loaded waiting on midnight EST so I can unlock. Have tomorrow off so guess what I'll be sitting in front of all day Gonna play as my male Soldier which was my first ever play through of ME1. Probably my best save also with everyone surviving the end of 2.



And I actually want to play to save her, after punching her in the face the first time we met.

Except if you kill everyone including Shepard, you can't inport your save from what I read, but can't remember where I read that now to verify

My soundtrack just downloaded, its unlocked, I'm having troubles not listening/reading the tracks in case of spoilers...

I'm going to play my male Shep paragon Vanguard who loves Ash first. Charging and shotgunning around a room full of baddies is win.

I'm gonna be playing my paragon soldier Liara-loving FemShep first. Was gonna wait til Friday to get it since I'm broke, but my coworker requested Saturday off, so now I have Thursday night off instead. So I talked my roommate into loaning me money til Friday.

Hey, she did a lot of news reports too! I'm gonna miss seeing her face whenever I'm on the Citadel.

And the twitter is now deleted.

Guess I know what I will be spending my first hour or two at work doing.

OK.. With work interruptions it was closer to 20 minutes of reading but it was still kind of neat.

Guess I'd better hurry up and finish 2. All that's left is getting Legion and then I can continue with the rest of the story.

I got it all downloaded and prepped to go last night then promptly fell asleep like an old man... (In my defense I was going on 4 hours of sleep from the night before)

Now I got to work today and can't play yet.

Can't wait for tonight!

Same for me. I had first figured that I'd at least wait until the discounts just recouped the cost of the DLC, but now I might just wait for a bigger drop. Busy with Syndicate and SSX right now.

Origin prompts you to buy the CE, I had to dig around the menu to find a place to buy it normal. /sigh EA

I started playing the series a few weeks ago. I've played through ME1 on Vet and am half way through a Hardcore run.

What happens if I start playing ME2 with the same character ID when I'm technically only 50% done with ME1? Does it use my choices from the Vet run?

I concur completely. I am still upset at the DLC fiasco but it is not entirely BIoWares fault so I will be purchasing ME3, just going to be farther down the line when it is cheaper. Besides I am swimming in various games at the moment so I really shouldn't add to the pile.

Game arrived about 2pm. I had finished my 2nd play through of ME2 in the AM, removed the ME2 physx driver & re-installed the new physx driver for ME3. It took an hour to install, do to various errors on the disk. Then, after alternating pausing/restarting the install with ejecting the disks over and over it was finally at 100%. As it finishes up "installing", I get a .cab error. Some googling, I figure out the game installs a bunch of extra files you need to delete to let it finish installing. I do so, it finishes installing.

Another 20 minutes to figure out how to redeem my code for the DLC that came with the CE & I'm off.

First impression: Everything got...prettier? Like, not just the overall graphics, but now SpoilerAshley's a model & my custom femshep's more glamorous. Enjoyed the first part, Spoilerpoor kid, & got through the next mission only to hit a game breaking crash at the end. Spoiler(Although, Anderson shouldn't be on Earth since I made him the representative on the Council, WTF?).

I dunno whats worse, the fact that I remember a time when games just generally "worked" at launch or that I'm now used to these types of issues & I pretty much expect it. I have resigned myself to struggling to get the games I buy to even work nowadays.

Honestly, it's not surprising. There are just WAY too many PC configs out there to deal with. Horrible, debilitating bugs on consoles are harder to stomach, at least where it has to do with hardware. But devs have no control over PC components, and there's way more variety in systems now than there was even 5-10 years ago. I can think of 5-8 different types of CPU structures, before we even begin to think about the differences between chips using that model. And I'm sure there are more.

Mine fired up right away and I immediately began sucking at being a vangaurd. Hmm is that my vangaurd charge button? *Charge into a swarm of mobs Oops, I only have a pistol right now and there are 5 of them. Splat. Also was the camera always this close to the character in the other games? I don't remember but having just suffered through the bad camera for a while in KoA I can't say I am liking the camera atm.

It's coming back to me now. I don't have any of my old saves so I just chose the options that seemed close to what I did and so far there are no bad surprises like: Spoiler"Hey buddy you killed the council!" Like what happened without my saves at the beginning of ME2 no matter what I chose. I could probably find the saves I need to match my stuff online, might do that next play through.

For now I'm just rolling with it. And next time I rebuild my rig I will save my saves, maybe. >.>

Shojindo, I'm guessing you aren't too far. In that case, you can still get a save file to use. Click Mass Effect 2 in the top-left corner, then 3 Fem shop options on the right, 3 on the left for Male Shep (Paragon, Renegade, Mixed). After that you choose your LI in the center, and it'll show the relevant saves' choices in detail.

IMO, it's worth doing, since one of the things I'm most excited about is seeing what happens according my choices. And default Shepard is an @#%^.

And, if you don't want to use someone else's Shepard, you can recreate your own using this.

Broke down and installed Origin, bought ME3.

I keep telling myself I hate EA's whole Big Brother thing they have going on, and I should've just pirated, Bioware or no.

But in the end I bought it because multiplayer.
