Ok, so wiki states that if you don't name your chocobo, it will automatically be given a name, but it doesn't say when.
So, quite simply, does anybody know how long you have until it auto-names it?
Namely, does it at least let you see what color it will be (by the feather tips) first?

Right before I took a three month break, I started to raise a chocobo (literally days before - it was still an egg when I left).
When I returned and spoke with the guy, it hatched, became an adolescent, and then an adult before he gave it a name (he named it Baron - just one word).
So yes, you will get to see the wing tips before it gets named, but who knows what the name list looks like. You could end up with an awesome Choco with a crappy name.

I think the reason he was asking was so that he could name it himself later on, after he's determined the wing color.
So that if you raise a chocobo it doesn't end up with a name like King Firecracker only to be green, or Blue Diamond only to be yellow.
