I've been resubscribed for a few weeks and decided that rather than playing 3+ boxes all the time, I would focus on just playing Felicite. Solo, or duo with my friend from the old days. So much less pressure. Last time I made new characters instead of picking up Felicite, but it feels right this time.

Saturday we did the 65, 70, and 75 Hot Zone quests (stayed in the Jewel of Atiiki and kited Efreeti for a bit). Also did one set of the kill quests at the Farm in Dragonscale, but this was not our favorite (for one thing, it was all light blue.. I should have gone last weekend.. and for another, I overpulled and earned my only death.. "how can I die, I have Death Peace?").

Sunday we did the 70, 75, and 80 Hot Zone quests, some more Jewel, and then tried out kiting at the road junction near the Stables on the Loping Plains - I enjoy the gators, but I like the space better over at the stables.

Ding 77, 78, and 79 (73, 74, 75, and 76 were over the last week or so). I have all the bits for my Abstruse - about 40% to go.

Autogrant is insane. I mean it does exactly what it's supposed to do: catch me up to the "current" level faster.. but I get *so many* AA each level, I just read the list and cackle with glee.

The last time I played a bit I got a Mage/Wizard/Bard to 83 with a traditional group setup, so I know some of the zones at this level.. but it's just about time to go into new places. Which is both fun and terrifying.

IRL I finished "Worth Dying For" and started "A Wanted Man", did some chores, and watched some football.

P.S. Sippinn (iirc.. guessing an alt?) bought some Defiant from my Bazaar girl, it gave me a shiver.

I logged into my 105 wizard to chat with some friends (on an old server). And then logged into a lowbie druid that I have on Xegony. Did a little bit of reading as well. Almost finished with the 5th book of Game of Thrones series. My god, GRRM takes a long time writing books. >.<

Twasn't any toon of mine, IIRC. And not sure why the act would give you a shiver. Smiley: wink

What server we talking? I did play around a bit on my Phinigel druid of the same name (level 18) and even bought a lot of gear in the Bazaar but I don't think it included any defiant. Is defiant even available yet on Phinny? In any case I was buying really nice Old World stuff, useable at level 1, like I would whenever I twink an alt on a progression server. Using plat acquired by selling a krono or two, of course.

Of course, someone else could be running around using "my" name since I haven't reserved it on every server!

I finished them all last year, and it did feel like a modest accomplishment. Funny thing, I tried to read them all a few years back and just could not get thru them all. But then I watched the TV show complete twice and that definitely makes the books much easier to read since you don't have to keep looking up every named character to figure out what spot they occupy in the families and the continuity. I enjoyed them thoroughly---the second time---and do plan to read them a third. However right now I'm in the middle of reading the 12-volume Poldark series, another great fictional work of art.

Sorry, I was unclear: Firiona Vie.

And I just assumed.. I shouldn't do that (I know you don't own the name and all variations)! Last time around I was playing I did see Sippin in the Bazaar, so it was in my mind.

Edit: Shiver.. or, I was being silly. You are teh Sage and a regular, I being more of a fringe player.

Heh, you're a legendary fringe player then. 1K + posts here, nearly all being helpful in general forums. When I was learning my necro many threads I googled would have your presence in them.

Awesome having you back in the game, thanks for posting a weekend update (I love that tradition). And yes, Sippin is very cool too. Smiley: nod

My update:

I've stayed with my rogue on progression into the 40s! (small miracle with Phinny xp rate). I'm doing some semi-pointless questing atm to break from the grind. I've gained a huge appreciation for melee players, particularly from back in the day. Having played casters probably 98% of the time the last 12 years off and on in EQ... it's a lot different. Being a rogue on progression the need for groups can be a frustration if you let it.

I miss my necro at times, but unless I race-change my FV one back into it's original form it doesn't feel right.

I'm one of those crazy people that will rewatch every single series before a new season starts up. I'm coocoo for Game of Thrones. Plus, I like to go all "Hahaha, you *******. You'll be dead soon." =P
