Hi all, I am a former 70 enchanter from what used to be Torvonillious > now Cazic/Fennin Ro. I was in a Time guild at the time and am equipped thusly. Now when I log in, its been 10+ years after all, I am lost. I am slowly retuning my habits from the simplicity that is Wow back to EQ and have a few questions.
I was in my former EQness a professional charm killer, is this still a viable method? I know in the last expansion I played in they made a lot of mobs immune as we were as enchanters a bit "enthusiastic" in our demolition.
Is there any current (2016) resources for enchanter guidance after 70?
I have been refunded AAs, what should I look too, and should I level character or AAs at this point?
Whats the best mercenary to team with an enchanter?
What about multi-boxing, is there a guide for this somewhere? Is it worth doing? I dont have the time to level a bunch of toons, really just interested in playing the enchanter.
I dont want to go back to Time level raiding again as the first time around added to the divorce, any good casual guilds recruiting?
I am also lost as far as where the hell I am and how to get to other areas, it looks like the world and zones have doubled since last I played, and yes I have run Kithicor at night.
Thanks for the info. As a funny thing of the past, I got the killshot on Quarm (and screenshot), not many enchanters can claim that :)

A couple quick tips:
If you are All-Access (i.e. paying for a sub), just level. In the AA window (hit "v", there's a check box for auto-grant AA. All AAs are now automatic, up to level 95, if you are a paying subscriber.
How to get places... under the EQ button in the UI, there's a menu for Navigation. One of the options there (forget which one) can give you a path from where you are to a zone of your choosing. Also, in most cases, hitting ctrl-F (Find) will display the path to all zone lines in the zone you are in. Used in conjunction, you can use this to get wherever you want to go.

Congrats, enchanter is widely considering one of the strongest classes in the 95+ game. There are lots of posts on the official boards complaining about there tanking and DPS ability being too good... and I am not joking.
My 65 chanter is using a warrior merc to mindlessly beat things down with the animation pet. This is easymode. My necro uses a healer merc as a pocket buffer (and insurance on hard named) but otherwise suspends it. If I was serious about leveling the chanter I would probably swap to the healer merc or even a DPS merc...
You probably have gear in /claim that would replace much of your current gear. I forget the name of it (gift of legacies lost???) but it should have a 999 item count. It is claimable once and tunes to your level.
There are NPC in Plane of Knowledge near a vendor called the "loyalty vendor" that sell jewellry. the level 50s stuff might be an upgrade for you. Also, check out the loyalty vendor, you probably have loyalty points there... if nothing else you can get the bags of platinum.

For Jewelry, the stuff on the PoK merchant you mentioned (sells defiant jewelry) is OK, but it's quite expensive, especially for a just-returning mid-level player. Search recipes for "compartmented trio" jewelry, they're not bad to make, especially since you're a chanter, and they are quite good. You can use this site (http://www.kyros.info/Tradeskills/JC-Calc/) to see what possibilities there are.

Thanks for the direction! I did have a bunch of stuff in a /claim window, I didnt know what half of it was so I left it alone.
I am a Gm Jeweler, hopefully that will help with some re-gearing. Is the 50 gear better than my Time gear (Romars, etc?) and epic?
I did check a bunch of EQ links but many are dead links, so overall info is kind of hard to find.

Your skill may not be at current max. In addition, there is a new "trophy" to increase your effective skill. (There are NPC in West Freeport giving tasks to get that trophy.) Beyond that, there are AAs to help ensure better ratio of success on each trade and an AA to salvage more components on failure.
