From the EQ-related section of senior moments:

Many years ago, after my guild split up and everyone went to the four winds, we created a channel for us to join and chat. Over the years, less and less people played, but occasionally you'd see someone in the channel, and it would be a nice reunion.

So, last week, I go to post a question in General, and notice that NOBODY has posted in General since I logged in (weird in itself), so I post my question in channel 2, which is what General usually is. Well, my question posts to the Druid channel, so I do the command that shows the channels you're logged in to. And what do I see? THREE people logged into the old guild channel! Let's list it out, and see who's there!

And when I see the names, I remember.... there are three people in the channel, because I 3-box! :)

Most of my light play the past nearly year has been on progression servers.

So when I log into a live server, I tend to be alarmed by the person running close to me when I am in combat or scouting out tricky places I thought I was alone it (I habitually do a /who every time I zone in somewhere).

The person tormenting me?

My mercenary.

That moment you run out of a particular tradeskill material - run all the way to the vendor to purchase what you need - and then forget what it was that you needed to buy... Yes, the artisan's prize quest is driving me nuts.

I'm doing the same drawn out and complicated quest arc. I go to a zone to pharm a rare item needed for a combine and I focus so much on that one item that I let everything else either rot---or even I destroy them so I won't keep checking the same corpse over and over.

Then I find out a day or two later that a later step requires another drop which, of course, was in those I had been destroying all that time.

I finally got wise and made a master list of everything needed for the whole arc.

I do that ALL the time. I log in and have objective I want to complete for the night. And then something grabs my attention, like the TV, and then.... "What the hell did I wanna do?"
