Recently potency of alcoholic drinks has been specified and graduated. We have charts of foods and drinks duration. It seems that we need the same for these, with definitions of the identifiers.

Good idea.

Someone with a wiki-capable brain and some time will have to get on that (as in whoever wants to do it). Realistically I will never get to it myself.

Associated topic: Alcohol Tolerance

Long ago I decided I wanted to max all my char's skills. Around 200-201, Alcohol Tolerance just stopped going up. I've probably consumed 3-400 drinks since then, and gained >1< point in the skill. With almost 200 points left, I just gave up.

Anyone else have a different experience?

Been awhile since I've tried it, but the same thing happened to me. I can't remember exactly where my skill is currently, but it is somewhere in that vicinity.

Is it possible that alcohol tolerance is kinda like a trade skill (or I suppose melee skill ups), where you have to be drinking something that's within a given difficulty range of you current skill to get an increase? Maybe try some of the higher skill beverages and see if that makes a difference.

Dunno. Totally spitballing here. I do know that a cheat to use is to just HA the character and violla! All your skills will be maxed (well, up to level 85 anyway).

Nope, you can get to 530 Alcohol Tolerance on Mead alone, that's what I did!

Care to ballpark how long that took? Both # of clicks, and in time at the keyboard (since you can only drink so much before you have to let it wear off a bit).

Tens of thousands of Bottles I'd say, easily. Not too hard on the coin purse, especially if you get a clicky item to summon it.

The higher you get in your tolerance, the quicker you recover too, where being blasted drunk at 100 tolerance might take 10 minutes at 530 it takes 3 minutes maybe.
