I recently noticed that the red 'Hot Zone' have been removed to all the zones that it applies.
Why did this happen?
How current is this zone level chart?

There is a thread currently a couple below this one titled "New Hot Zones".

It explains the thought processes behind removing the hot zones from the zone list.

Basically its down to there being no consistency across servers or week to week.

As far as levels it is pretty good but obviously makes no allowance for "hardcore weeks"

I popped into Blackburrow recently and got hit for 1200+ by a scrawny gnoll Smiley: smile

Lower Guk seems to be the same on FV right now. I went looking for dungeon rot and the entry mobs were red to a 61.

Other than that kind of blip it is as good an indicator as any.

Thread in general forum talks about it.

Update #40 on the news homepage talks about it.

Database tab > Zones > Hotzones found here talks about it.

TLDR: hotzone flags on Zam were 3 rounds out of date. They say they are going to alternate them every 3 months but they have changed unpredictably (unannounced) on a much shorter timeframe, seemingly with patches. The 3 choices per level bracket are not all known. Using the hotzone dropdown should give you the most up to date info. On any given day Franklin Teek in Plane of Knowledge is probably the first place to check.
