Does Daybreak even have any employees left or are they just collecting payments for games that keep breaking?

None of their websites have any updates or even references that their games are all down. If you check the server status on their site, it states that servers were up 2 minutes ago but that is not the case. I think they have 1 employee that answers all petitions and tries to keep all of the games running.

EQ is down more and more often and it keeps getting buggier and buggier. I'm guessing that Daybreak is just letting the game wind down and will only perform minimal effort to keep the servers from completely crashing. Because we all know that as long as the existing players can get a few more hours of playing time a week, they will accept poor and unacceptable performance from Daybreak.

Hmm, login server problems this morning again. And they want to do a patch tomorrow that will introduce new bugs. Why, because some dev must play a warrior and wants his dps increased.

How about we fix the game from crashing and fix the existing bugs instead of addressing the needs of a few whinny players. When the servers have crashed 3 times in the last 5 days, maybe you should not be worried about a new release.

I've logged in several times, at various times of the day, in the last several days. No login problems, no server crashes. Are you sure it's not just you?

Well considering that Daybreak even posted that all of the servers were taken down for several yesterday, that would mean it is not just me. Also, if you read general once logged in, many others are complaining about the same thing.

I have not had any issues until recently and I have not made any changes to my PC. EQ has been really unstable recently. Daybreak has taken all of the servers offline at least twice in the last 5 days already and I keep seeing numerous new complaints about the login server. And it is not just people switching to Windows 10.

Are you a Daybreak employee pretending that EQ is functioning at a high level and does not have constant crash, lag, and other bugs.

It would seem server stability took a hit when Ragefire & Lockjaw got going good. There were some tweaks to these servers. I believe IMO this tweaked code affected the other servers. Xegony has gone down at least twice in the last quarter.

Sure there is a team who work to keep the servers up. If Ragefire & Lockjaw are needed to keep the game going strong, then I'm willing to accept the servers being down from time to time. Heck we endured no double xp for 4th of July due to it wouldn't be "fair" not to give it to Ragefire & Lockjaw due to xp potion sales.

Nope, you can see posts on here from me, going back years. I guess I'm just lucky. I saw a post on the DBG forums after my reply to you, saying servers were down. I tried it, and logged right in. Go figure. But as far as lag, no sir, haven't seen any undue lag at all. But I don't raid, or hang out in the current popular zones, so that may be a factor as well.

Nope , DBG is out of business. Please cancel your accounts, and vacate the servers immediately.

I've noticed since the last down time -- possibly the previous one -- that my log in and log out times are significantly improved. Not sure if that's telling of anything in particular, but I was pleasantly surprised.
