So I've made a level 85 monk to do a world tour of Norrath. This may be my last hurrah (just being honest). Here's my list of things I feel I have to do (some again, some for the first time) before leaving EQ*

Kill all of Kaladim. It's wrong I know, especially for a good monk. Oh well... actually kill all of most starter cities Smiley: sly

Trakanon. I've done it, but once more won't hurt.

Sleeper's tomb. My old necro actually earned this key... but I've never got to do anything in the zone.

Tower of Frozen Shadow. It will be terribly trivial... and still fun.

Venril Sathir. My old characters were all factioned in such a way I didn't do this (In fact I was so serious about the faction I never really did Karnor's!)

I'll Ice the Kly again for kicks.

Temple of Veeshan.

Plane of Growth.

Thurgadin. I will be a dwarf slayer. (going to have to decide if I want to do the ringwar first Smiley: lol) Never done this. So rarely seen it happen in the last 10 years.

Skyshrine. All wurms will be slain!

Zlandicar.

Drink a bottle of wine with my NPC pals in the blind fish (will take some work as a human monk...)

All the 60+ Luclin bosses (Greig, Seru, etc.) and especially Vex Thall

Plane of Hate end to end.

Fear and Sky I enjoy, but deathtouch might derail that idea...

All the events in LoY I have never done.

Maybe zone into all of PoP and kill what I can (not sure I'm actually interested).

That stupid turtle in Natimbi. Smiley: mad

Hadden will give me his earring!

That queen bixie in Stone hive, and the end part of Blackfeather Roost.

King Xorbb one last time

What would your list be? I'll steal some ideas to edit onto mine!

*EQ will have me back once they do another progression server. I'm saving a couple of in-era things for that scenario such as SK doing greenmist. Probably finally play a wizard too.

You're "last hurrah" may well keep you busy till they shut down the servers. Finding all those bosses even up will take a looooong time! For example, I haven't even seen Lord Seru's shadow in years!

Kinda like the guy who says "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it lots of times!" ;)

True. I even asterisked the original post before the first edit. Smiley: lol

I have always said I would do the POP progression. I have a 92 SK and he is up to Elemental planes. Not sure if it will happen solo (or even duo) due to some of the mechanics past this point though.

Another thing I started was trying for all epic 1.0's. I got llot of them. I got SK, PAL, BST, BER, WAR, DRU, MAG, NEC, BRD, RNG, MNK, ROG, CLR

I never started SHM, WIZ, or ENC I think that sums up all classes?

Enchanter and shaman epics are fun. Wizard requires Phinny being up and, IIRC, the agony of Plane of Sky. Getting all the epics done is surely a feather in your hat. Start working on 2.0's! ;)

Should be a special title for anyone who has done every class 2.0 epic quests, altho not sure how it would be determined and assigned...

BTW, the game is somewhat deficient in interesting, lengthly quests that aren't heavily dependent on killing. That's why I always enjoyed collection parts of big quests, such as the enchanter using illusion spells to visit various dangerous cities and collect pieces for the quest.

I've done the chanter epic 1.0 twice:

once as a severely undergeared 55-65 chanter with some casual guild help, favors from "uber" friends for a couple of things but mostly duo with my brothers same-level as me necro. What an accomplishment!

2nd time it was dumb luck and a solid progression guild (so I was done it really fast and was only level 55).

If you enjoy the quests... chanter epic has fun parts and decent story to it. It's also super-cool to hold a snake! Smiley: eek

I remember my shammy epic... Lots of running and camping. Took me a while.
Our guild raided about every week, so i was pretty well geared, but not uber. Epic fights were on our guilds priority list, so everybody who was working on epic, got help with big fights.
Most difficult part was Child's Tear from Plane of Fear, but i was very lucky - one day a lvl 60something guy from Korean "uber, very uber" guild (can't remember anymore guilds name. maybe someone does - in Cazic Thule server) offered me he would MQ it for me. I was like Smiley: yippee Smiley: bowdown
I participated on open raids too, so maybe i was just noticed - there was not much shamans around and shammys were always wanted.

My shammy was lvl 53 when i finally got it.

Oh yes, i was happy Smiley: nod

Murder Qeynos

Murder Neriak

Murder Freeport

Visit every single zone at least once and kill a named creature in each one if a named exists

Convince a lowbie to duel me, "accidentally" kill them, hide the corpse in a random spot in Butcherblock, GFay, or West Karana(can't do this one anymore because the game changed, but I thought it was hilarious when someone did it to me, after I stopped being full of teenage rage about it)

Complete my guide to max PP that can be made from spending 1 hour in a zone(this is a work in progress with my 85 warrior, so far, best zone has been Roost in TSS zones with 6269, followed closely by Crypt Of Decay(one of my all time favourite ones) with 6085 in loot and pp drops, not including items to be sold in baz, the worst so far has been Plane Of Justice with 530, and Plane Of Air with death from the first group of apparently self-replicating mobs I took on with my 85 War and cleric merc)

Learn how to play a non-melee class other than Necro.

Play in a group for the first time since 2009.

Create my own guild and get people other than myself and my one friend who plays once in a blue moon to join it.

Have 1 million pp without selling Krono(i've already done this selling Krono, but it feels so...empty)

Get a group together and just clear Unrest for the hell of it.

Find some skinspike pots for levels between 40 and 80(as if..)

Do a raid instance.

Create a toon on the pvp server and play it to at least level 70

Complete the Hero's Journey.

It just goes on and on...

Get epic 1.0's for all my chars

KS a Trakanon camper (or any dragon camper for that matter)Smiley: lol

Solve an unsolved quest. ( IF any actually exist anymore)

Level cap at least one alt (not likely, as the high end game does not appeal to me anymore)

Collect uncommon weps and or "funny items" for chars

Short list as currently I'm finding EQ rather boring. I'm sure as winter sets in up here that will change. Although Canadian born, my heart "lives" in Africa and the cold gets less tolerable each year. Smiley: disappointed

Sure there are unsolved quests... some very old and probably NOT solveable. But no way to prove a negative, eh? Now if you ask me to list some, I'd have to do some research!

List some please!

But how about starting it in a new thread?

Broonsbane was dabbling with a few a while back so there would be some suggestions on one of those threads he was heavily posting on (about what... a year ago?)

Some quests are marked in Allakhazam with an X, but a lot of those are ones that revamps have broken. Looking at each zone's quest list is one way of digging some info up I suppose? Maybe someone has a quicker way?

One of the cool things about being on the Mayong Mistmoore server for the last few weeks before they shut it down was that everyone had already transferred off with their free transfer.

The cool side effect was that almost all of the old world bosses were up. It was during that time that I went through and killed all the "bucket list" mobs from Kunark, Velious, and Luclin.

Good times... little did I know I'd still be playing six years later, so that bucket list was a bit premature lol.

Do all epics 1.0 (Already did it last year)

Do all Iksar epics (Only ones left for me to do are shaman and beastlord)

Create a character that is hated by all, and kill a lot of npc's I've been curious about killing in every city (Seriously what does that fae drake in Kelethin drop!?)

Kill Carson Mccabe and the rest of Highhold Pass / Highkeep

Solve this quest that I discovered a while back, even though I believe it to be broken

Nothing from all the times, I've killed it from origining in then sitting to mem a spell before camo-ing and it attacking.

lol

Nillipus died so many needless times due to aggroing my wood elf ranger that I kept camped amongst the halflings for months. Low level mad-aggro mobs are pretty funny if you're in the right mood.

Just wanted to say, for any of you who are interested in (re-)experiencing parts of this game, especially with others: we've got a guild going to do just that. I mean grouping...epic quests...raids...planar progression...yeah, we're doing that. Like, right now! We're in PoP, and Time is right around the corner. Guess who's shaking a snake stick and wearing his first piece of elemental silk. ;) So, all of you folks, snailish, Surimuri, Sippin, fronglo, Driftwood, KC13, Yther, Wizorb, stdamm33, and any more who may be reading: I'd like to invite you to join us (and Bijou/Taterkuk, thanks for joining for a bit there). If you want to join, make an account on LostinProgression.com and fill out our application questionnaire. You can do this before or after rolling a character.

I hope to get more skilled players on board to make sure my beloved guild doesn't falter. We seem to have no shortage of experienced players here on the Allakhazam boards.

It seems to me the leaders are pretty hardcore raiders into progressing, but there are some more nostalgic/exploratory types, too. Someone is always leveling an alt in or out of guild, so you can find groups. Be sure to join our chat channel if you're leveling out-of-guild. And for the record, Phinny seems to be up pretty often here on Trakanon.

Many years ago in Shadow Haven, I'd get the occasional emote about a mysterious figure. For the life of me I can't recall where in the zone -- and SH is too damned big to ballpark.

If something else stirs a memory I'll post back.
