Can't claim reward!Follow

Anyone ever run into this? I finished the task SAFE PASSAGE in Bloody Kith. The reward is some chronobines along with:

Timeshear Orange Fragment Azia.

When I go to claim my rewards the game informs me I already have this item and since it's LORE I can't have another one.

I have checked bags, bank space, even shared bank, and I don't find this item. In case I keep missing it, I created an inventory and checked it using automated SEARCH. Nothing to be found.

I don't really care about obtaining this item. I just wanted to complete the quest since it's necessary for Void flagging. In fact, I DO have it logged as completed. It's just that the REWARD window pops up as still incomplete every time I log in. I CAN'T GET RID OF IT!

Not the most earth-shattering problem in the world but short of petitioning I can't think of anything else to do.

Suggestions?

Have you checked the NPC to the East of the Magus in the Guild Lobby? I forget his name atm, but he stores all those items for you for the cost of 1 chronobine to save bank space while progression before making the augs.

Great response, Yther. But it adds more to the mystery. I DO have one of these in Tavid's care. But when I go to retrieve it for a chronobine it tells me "Duplicate LORE items are not allowed." LOL. So I think I have one of these in Tavid's "care" but the item is flagged as being in my possession, thus creating a LORE violation every time I try to claim it, OR try to "buy" it back from Tavid.

This has probably become a petition situation but man I really don't care enough to go thru all that. Bottom line, I just have to close-click a notice window every time I log in, but it is a minor PITA.

I'd at least /bug it as a problem with the claim appearing despite having the item, and it appears, the claim window, even though not claimed is making the Tavid item think you have one, and vice-versa. So you can't get either. Maybe if you get more than 5 quest rewards queued it will delete the one in the claim, so you can retrieve the one from Tavid.

Had similar issues with other rewards like this with people when I GM'd. I would have to create the item in your inventory, then delete it and that usually solved the issue. Never was sure why it happened, but was a quick and easy fix from SOE side.

Course, you stated you would rather not petition the issue...Smiley: glare

Only way I know of fixing it....

Nothing personal! It's more I don't want me and/or a GM having to go thru all the steps. But maybe if that's easy, as well as it sounds like it's a known "bug", I will do it!

No, sorry...I totally get it...I HATE TO PETITION. I would rather try to figure it out/make it work myself. I was trying to think of the item that kept doing this ( been 5 years since I GM'd ) but really, all I did was recreate it in the persons inventory, deleted it, then you could claim it.

I would think this would be the same easy fix. Hope it works out...Smiley: wink

I had a similar problem like that , I the item went inside my mixing bowl. Check if you have a mixing bowl in your inventory. hope that can help.
