Admin Notice: This thread is now included in the Forum FAQ sticky.

Would like to start a thread with a list of items that are tradeable no level requirements that a lvl 1 twink character can wear.
Most of the time spent in EQ now for me at least is farming or soloing mobs for nostalgia reasons. Post the best of the best
items here Thanks.

Ornate Rune Blade (the reason I like this is for a 2h weapon it has a fast delay. Also Until about lvl 20 you have a cap on your damage making this the perfect 2h weapon.

Swiftblade of Zek
Reaver
Cloak of Flames
Cloak of Maelstrom

The list is long, so I found an old link (nothing much has changed since re no lvl restriction "twink" gear imo).

See post # 9 from the top for links to many of the twink items:

Good luck.

Gold Trio jewelry with augs will be your best bet by 15+ for non-visible and wrist slots. See http://nathrach.republicofnewhome.org/gizmotron/ for details / calculator. Relatively cheap to upgrade the settings as you level too, once you get over the initial slot 11 aug cost. Still comparable or cheaper than most twink items which have great value for their tribute as well as the stats.

My wiki page lists some at http://everquest.allakhazam.com/wiki/User:Yther#Twink but is pretty similar to other lists, with maybe a few alternatives and some focus / haste / mod options.

Acrylia Infused Robe
Acrylia Inlaid Shield
Acrylic Chainmail
Acrylic Chestplate
Arcanist's Skull
Black Acrylia Boots
Black Acrylia Gauntlets
Blackened Acrylia Blade
Blackened Acrylia Greatsword

I can't vouch for anything else listed in the loot table for Acrylia Caverns as far as "Acrylic" weapons and armor are concerned. I'm pretty sure that when the Ring of Fire quest became perma-broke, it closed off other sections of AC.

Anyways; these are the only stuff I ever remember looting. Any 60+ toon can easily do inner and outer (assuming your gear isn't totally gimp). If you go in with terrible save vs stats you WILL have a problem.

I'm lazy. I'll work on adding links later.Smiley: tongue

EDIT: Links!!

I also removed the Black Acrylia Shield because, um, ninjas.Smiley: grin

I had been meaning to do a list of No Trade / quested twinkable stuff, so I'll just jot down a few I remember here:

Noita's Boots - http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2778 result in http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=26357

I'll edit in more as I think of them. I thought about a few more, but they weren't doable at level 1 iirc, like the Ore Hauler's Haversack at http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=53422

Always liked Smoldering Brand as a twink item for noobies. The 14-pt DD proc is nice extra dps at low levels. Not sure why it's useable by every class EXCEPT berserkers...

OP may want to read this post at http://everquest.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=1&mid=1362023233214686854#2 -- Twinking is very possible, but actually takes more time to farm the items than to just level past its usefulness.

And being a bard, I'd prob not worry about a SoW clicky, since by 10 or so, with a good drum mod, your Selo's will be way faster. Although SoW is nice even for a bard until you get an invis travel song, but that's still not too far away (40s or low 50s, iirc).

Totally true, but from the sound of the OP, it sounds like he just wants to know where to farm the stuff people want to buy.

Because, yeah, you'll spend 10 times more farming the items, than the time it will save you on the twink :)

Just to be clear on my end. Zek or FV weren't mentioned. Either of which would of made including No Trade stuff viable, but asked for tradeable stuff to start with, then mentioned No Trade in the example list. I could have, and would have included some other ideas (Mostly Ssraeshza Temple mobs, as they're mostly easy to get Alts to. Just set off the traps on the higher level toons then move the alts through, other than the Emperor is a little trickier and more involved getting the key).

The tradeable made me think, either easy / quick to buy, or sell-able, and thought I should mention how farming takes forever. Just searching the bazaar may take quite a while in and of itself. If they want to do it, just to see what they can do, or want to sell the stuff or whatever else, is fine. Just wanted to make sure they knew it would take some time, and alot of time with No Trade drops. The No Trade quested boots takes a bit of time, but not too long, especially if you happen to remember to save the hides whenever you are hunting there anyway. I assumed that was the plan from the OP.

Zek of course, being twinked out is almost a necessity, and FV No Trade gear is mostly trade-able anyway, so you can buy it, and not spend hours each try to farm one or possibly two pieces that will fit your class.

The best time would have been when Trio jewelry settings didn't have a required / recommended level when they first came out, and you could of had 3200+ HP and 420+ AC just from jewelry at first level. Add in some 100+ HP 1st level items, get some GM MGBs without level restrictions and you could of easily been over 10K HP at 1st level. I couldn't find them, but I thought there were some 50hp augs, non-Lore, from a limited time, special event quest, that you may have been able to get at 1st level, or a higher level, then sacrificed down to 1st level, that went in most slots, that could of gotten another 500-700 in HPs. Anyway, that seemed like the ultimate time to get the most twinked out 1st level.

I'm rambling on again. Got lost in the side-track looking for those strange 50hp augs. I should have posted about them when I found them, so I had it written down some where. And the main thing is, I just wanted to be sure they were aware of how long such twinking will take compared time to level past it. 'Cause if that was the reason for the twinking, it's not really necessary, unless as Vinney said, you're on Zek.

Yes, the Zek exception never occurred to me, either, as I've never logged in there (except briefly, one time, to check out Vinney's neighborhood :) )

I thought I had seen a case where somebody took a low lvl toon into Temple of Veeshan. I tried this last night with my 82 mage and a lvl 2 Beastlord. Every time the Beastlord tried to zone itno TOV it gave an error "This zone is not ready for visitors try again later". Unfortunately I had allready zoned in with mage. It also threw the beastlord back outside of Siren's Grotto. I attempted a 2nd time to zone beastlord in and it gave the exact same message. Don't know if toon is just too low or if something was bugged but my mage zoned in just fine and 3 other people were in zone.

Would think it would give the standard "Your not experienced enough yet" message if it was a level restriction?

I had heard the same thing and meant to try it out, but never got a toon all the way to ToV to see. My guess is, someone used a campfire to get the toon in. But I'm not sure.

True, but sometimes it's just a fun side project especially if you enjoy the older content. No real reason to fight Umbral Plains bosses except to park a lvl 1 in the tunnel and have them reap the rewards.

Started my little side project. Just trying to see what crazy max hp / mana I can generate on a lvl 1.

So far Lvl 1 Drakkin Bard

BP = Heavy Yttrium Breastplate
Arms = Yttrium Wrapped Sleeves
Legs = Yttrium Wrapped Leggings
Feet = Yttrium Leather studded boots
Range = Marsinger's glimmering gem (quested confirmed mq'd)
Head = Crown of the Twisted
Neck = Serru's Torque
Ring = Starred Yttrium ring
Ring = Ring of Destruction
Back = Cloak of the falling stars
Secondary = Orb of the infinite Void
Primary = Blade of Carnage

Work in Progress .... I'm working on a Yttrium Legs and BP atm then would like to get a Better Primary.
Leave comments and ideas.... Thanks

Also is it possible to get a lvl 1 into ToV to do quests there? Does campfire get him in , and do you need faction to mq stuff there?

You can campfire into ToV at level 1. You still need faction to do the quests. If you really wanted to do the quests in ToV at level 1, you could have that character get some faction hits in Kael.

I made a fake character with items you can obtain at level 1. When I went searching I looked for the highest HP first, if items had the same HP, I chose the one with the highest AC. This list could prob be better but it's a start. Also requires a crap ton of patience to get.
