Farming Plane of Fear?Follow

#1 Feb 03 2006 at 9:44 AM Rating: Decent
Is there any way to find out when a spawn will occur? I've been attempting one of the final steps for my epic 1.0 for my shammy for 2 months now. I can rally the guild atleast 3 times a week to go into PoF. We've been in there 13 times now and we have never found Cazic or the Golems (Dread, Fright or Terror) up? This is occuring on Prexus and becoming very frustrating. Can anyone give me some insite into this? I'd be more than happy to assist any group/guild that is hitting PoF so hard. All I need is 1 Iskar Child's Tear.

Any Advice?

Thanks

There is no way to tell exactly what time things will spawn, unless you know the time they were killed last. Most mobs have a static respawn time (usually within a few hours of said time).

One good thing about PoFear is, if you have a druid or a ranger, you can get them to zone in, and they can track right from the zone in...their track should be able to reach all the way to CZ's temple, so you can go that method to see if things are up instead of taking a raid force every time.

If you have an open channel on your server, you can ask around to see which guild is farming PoFear at the momeny and ask if you can join them...unless they are jerks, you may not be too sad with the results.

Freakin farmers...

I know exactally what you mean, im a shammy too and i can NEVER catch those golums up. when i do catch them up, nobody wants to go help kill them because of the DT. I wonder if i can solo him and just die 10-12 times haha

Plane of Fear is on a 7 day respawn timer if memory is working properly. Get a tracker in a safe spot and camp him there log him on everyday to check the zone. Once you see the mobs up you are good to go. If you can't get a raid force up at the time have the tracker check back every hour or so. Once you see Fear being Raided you can plan a raid for the next pop cycle.

Everyone talks about how Fear is being farmed but you hardly ever see the items or MQs up for sale. My definition of farming is for trade skills or selling Items/MQs. Guilds doing raids to complete members quest I don't consider as farming

PoFear trash mobs are somewhere between 8 and 24hr repop (not sure on this at all, been ages since I've been up there.)

Golems (and possibly other minis) are all on 3 day timers.

CT himself is a 7 day timer. (Though, I think the entire plane repops when he pops).

They really should instance the Old World planes. I know that would take time or whatever but it would alleviate the constant feuding over spawn times.

8 hours on the trash I believe.

Since we're on the subject of Fear, anyone know any way to pull the wraith of shissar single or with very few adds from the temple? I was trying last night with myself (chanter) and a ranger and kept getting like 30 adds almost instantly. I couldn't even figure out a way to target anything on/in the temple to perhaps try to pacify or mezz stuff before it got to me. It just kept jumping out of nowhere (looked hilarious though).

Yeah, I probably should have been more specific. Without a so-called 'pulling' class, is what I'm looking for. I might just have to go this route for the piece I actually need. I'm basically just trying to figure out a way that a chanter could solo this, even if it would be difficult, so maybe after I take a decent group or a bard in there I can figure something out.

Ya, I need fear for my guild too. My wife being a warr needs those gollems too. And a friend needs CT for a sword.
I've been to Fear once awhile back. I made it all the way to the temple before I was wacked by like 30 mobs.
If someone could please help out a poor ranga and tell him how the heck do you get out of Fear without a port, he would much appreciate the advise. I was told there is a zone out in the temple, but to me that seemed like suicide!

buy a gate potion. unless you're raidgeared, you won't make it.

A pulling class is a must have in Pofear. The agro range in that zone is insane.

Smiley: disappointed
It pains me to see how used and abused us rangers seem to get.
Tis ok though, us good rangers are used to it. Smiley: king

Druid track can see all named in zone from the zone in hill. So zone into fear and hit track then scan list for names as your casting gate.

Used to do it allot with my druid alt for guild I managed to gate out about 70% of time I always went in naked so if I died corpse could rott but this was before guild lobby was put in game so if I was doing it today I would go in with gear and just summon corpse to giuld lobby if I died.
