WOW..........

This is the only word I could think of earlier today while I was doing a creator mission with a 70 zerker as the MT. I watched this zerker tear through these mobs without even blinking an eye.

Everyone in the group, other than myself, was lvl 70.

Not only did we clear the entire zone in about 15 minutes, but this zerker tanked the creator in about 20 seconds without needing a single heal.

I got kind of worried when the cleric LD'd about 5 minutes into the mission and never came back, leaving my little dru heals to hold up this lvl 70 zerker. Needless to say my mana never went under 80% and most of that mana was spent healing the puller.

I have heard nothing but bad things about this class and never gave it a second thought until now.

So, here is my question: Can someone point me towards a berzerker website?

I think they are super(insert race here)

Mine is marginally geared and can tank just about anything with in level range and can pull agro with out even turning around or looking at the mob. i'd have to say that they do rock and i'm not so sure why.

Zerkers like every other melee class can tank according to gear and aa. It may be that this zerker had several hundred aa and qvic or better gear. I could be completely mistaken about this but since they are all chain I would assume that given the same gear and aa a rogue could tank as well as a zerker and as well as a ranger. I dont know if there is a huge difference in def aa between these classes but that would prolly be the deciding factor.

I know there is a zerker on my server that parses a long term 800 dps which is pretty amazing if you think about it.

Yes they (we) are pretty fun characters but as others have mentioned, we are aa and gear dependent (of course who isnt).

aye, from what I understand they have chain class mitigation but are on the knight hp table.

I think some of the dazzling aspect of them is the rarity of higher level twinks so when one is encountered they stick out like a sore thumb

Dracoboars already said it.

It is not that Berserkers are an especially powerful class. It is all about gear and AAs.

I have done Creators with a Ranger tanking and a Paladin as the only healer. They are both in Citadel of Anguish gear. 1000+ AAs

I will never forget the first time I heard in /groupsay; "Just finished my AAs." No, not his tanking AAs, not his DPS AAs...this Ogre Warrior finished all his AAs. This was about 2 months before DoDH in a hard LDoN we were doing.

I have done Wall of Slaughter named with Monks tanking. Again, CoA geared.

A necromancer friend of mine solos Creator missions. He 3 boxes and just parks 2 afk characters in a corner. His guild just finished GoD and completed their CoA keys.

You know the Crystalline Golems in Plane of Valor? A Wizard tanked them in a group I was in. She pulled with a DD which gave her all the aggro she needed. We had no plate class but we had a Cleric(who did not break a sweat any more than usual) and it was steady xp.

Don't get me wrong, Berserkers are fun. It is just that there are players out there for whom most EQ content is trivial. It is just rare to see them because they raid mainly in their guilds. Gster the Warrior of Cestus Dei has what, 16,000 unbuffed Hit Points and 3000AC?
