Trablin:

It wouldn't hurt to put some AAs into your resists if you're planning on doing Naggy/Vox for awhile.

dbernor:

Defense, defense, defense.

To the OP, I'd be working more on your gear resists for Vox and Naggy. Save up for combat AA's at 55.

Dbernor, after looking at your Magelo, I'd suggest finishing Run3, then working on CA and CF. After maxing those two, which will help immensely with your tanking, you'll be able to save up for Holy Steed (although I'd probably go for 2 Hand Bash or Divine Stun first).

I'd agree with Demea, except I'd recommend getting Holy Steed before 2hand bash or divine stun. Holy Steed is something that when you get it, you don't know how you lived without it. But definitely get CA and CS first. They help a lot.

To the OP, bank whatever AA's you get while doing the Naggy/Vox thing. Good luck with that. After about 3 months of hanging out at 52 I finally gave up and continued on. There are other dragons you can kill for the 2 books.

** I just noticed Demea actually said CA and CF. CF is Combat Fury and does nothing except allow you to get critical hits. Nice for eye candy, but it won't help you tanking and it isn't actually a factor until you decide to go for Slay Undead, as CF3 is a prerequisite for SU. CS is Combat Stability, which will help you tank.

Interesting how all this advice has to do with levelling up...

If you are planning to stay at 52 for Vox and Nagafen, yes, get resists to Fire, Cold and Magic.

Naggy and Vox is something that you'll do a few times(unless you really fall in love with it) and then move on........so why spend points in AAs that you will use once and then not again until far in the future(ya res is important but you can get it from gear..bards..buffs....bards......=p) invest in AAs that have a more general/useful purpose.

Thanks for the advise I have given it the due thought and will bank the AA's altough I am sure at some point having those aa sitting there will weigh on my decision to move on.

Just remember that you can only have 30 stored for later use, after that it's 'use it or lose it!'

Hey, Trablin, which server are you on?

I have a level 52 Pally on Povar(Morden Rasp) that has been level 52 for about 7 months, now, trying to get the epic drops from Vox and Naggy. I'm sure I wouldn't have waited this long if I didn't have alts to play.

I finally got Naggy's book with mostly pickup raids, but they seem to have slowed down a lot, and I haven't been able to find a Vox Raid for quite a while.

I know there are other dragons that drop the books, but they seem to be picked off almost as soon as they pop, and I don't have a standing raid group to help.

Anyway, if you are on Povar, maybe we can get some pickup raids started ourselves.

Very hard to give advice on what to get because most of the AA that are worth getting will be level resticted at level 52. I would say the AA you need to getting next are defensive AA if these are not open to you at level 52 then I would just bank the AA.

What ever you do though dont spend any AA points on resists that is a total whaste of time those AA are there for when you have nothing better to get that is genraly past AA 1000 these days.

Since I don't play a pally, don't have suggestion about AA's. If you like killing those 2 mobs, you can always shroud down and lead the raids regardless what level you have actually attain.

Greetings Trablin,

Another resource which you might find helpful would be a Pali specific forum. I prefer using the Paladin's of Norrath http://www.pon.myfreebb.com/index.php The site can be slow, but it is well organized and maintained.
