Solo classesFollow

You know.. I know I can solo to my heart's content. And kill fast. People that have never seen are always shocked. I remember during some Tipt trials when we had little wipe-ettes, I would kite the non summoners to keep the area clear and the "leader" was "um.. they die so fast."

But at 65, I had my Enchanter mentor play Cachet a night in Halls of Honor to show me charm soloing. I played Felicite and just watched. And I have never seen anyone mow down so much so fast. I believe that at 65 in non "charm nerf"ed zones, Enchanters are the best (ableit high risk and taking high concentration) soloers in the game.

Sadly I will always be a Necromancer first, Enchanter second. I use Charm for crowd control, mostly. But I remember the envy. Solo away!

If you not gonna twink and get pl'd to 70th, then i'd not worry about solo'ing. You will need to find a regular group of friends with whom to group. Plus, name recognition(sp) is paramount imo to having fun and leveling.

As far as end game solo'ing, nothing can touch a necro, nothing. I solo in mpg and the nest task. Hell the GoD model named in mpg doesn't summon. The nest is just a matter of snare, DN, Curse and DP. Our pet averages around 85dps from behind. Averaging around 300 base dps from three dots takes down mobs quickly. Add our dps and MW to a group situation will get you groups. Also fd and res to keep a group or mission going is nice. Feeling bored, solo a creator task or whatever else you feel up too. Also necro has sick mana regen, can heal yourself, fd etc.

It all boils down to what you want to play. Pure solo'ing, go with necro. Want easy group invites, cleric or shammy.

Alright first of all yes a shammy can easily solo to 70(if a SK bst necro or bard can....then a shammy can) and without uber1337OMFGWALLHAXAIMBOTWTF gear.......all a shaman needs is slow and HoTs....The rest is cake......and I'd bet old lefty that a shaman has soloed from 1 to 70(hell I had a friend solo a SK from 1 to 70 just b/c someone said he couldn't do it....=p)

Canni is crazy good(especially once you get the decent HoTs...hell some are even made for canni)....

Also downtime =/= not being able to solo for EXP(hell my wizzy quaded the hell out of anywhere than can be quaded....and needed hella down time...doesn't mean that i didn't get EXP for it..and not bad EXP at that(not saying i can come close to a necro but meh....)) It just means a bit slower

I never said a shaman vs a bard soloing would get to 70 faster....hell no not even close.......(speaking of which since when does fastest EXP soloer=the best soloer...there are so many more aspects of soloing to take into account)

By the best soloer I mean someone who can solo for EXP, solo summoning mobs, solo hard hitting(for the respective level) named mobs, and be able to handle adds...................

Now you may say "... a bard can do all of those" and I'd say "yes they can" but not as easily as a shaman(slow+pet+HoT+Dots makes all the differnce in the world....ya a bard can charm mobs but healing can be a problem....)

coin or no coin a shaman could easily solo from 1 to 70.......saying that he couldn't is just dumb............I mean hell any of the pet classes(Mages, bst, necros, shaman, SKs) can solo to 70(SKs are the hardest =p...i just added them b/c I know of one who did =p))

All a shaman needs is his pet, slow, HoTs, and DoTs and BAM there you go.........if he has good gear then all he needs is a good procing weapon, slow, his pet(s...depending on AAs) HoT, DoTs..........and oh ya that GOD like spell slow and he is crazy badass....were talking piratewizards here........

EQ has changed a lot but your are all still wrong .

At 50 let alone 56 shammies let alone any class can't solo for SHIAATT - summoning mobs++ UBER MUTHAF@!$#%## hitting mobs=death to all but twinks.

exceptio nmaybe necros, or mages i have seen soloing planes because they know how pet can keep aggro and if sh#@ goes wrong they doent lose 1 hr of exp over it they just gate

Heh I love mages for raid reasons... I am way too lazy to feel like running thru KT for example to set up for Uqua.

Hell pretty much anyplace I have to run by some pita see invis mob that they can get a mage into and CoTH works I flat out will kiss their lil butts.

I disagree that shamans are the end all but it seems pretty obvious that wizard main or not you feel they are and thats ok to each his own if we all played shamans it would suck if nothing else when we needed a rez =P.
