For the non-gaters out there you can do this entire quest as a shroud. It can save you time since you get a gate spell as a shroud, plus you can easily get run 4 if your 65 plus.

Also you can get a lockpick set and turn into a goblin rogue and save yourself the time camping the key. First time I went into befallen there was 5 people trying to spawn the shadowknight for the key. By the time I ran to POK and came back they had still not got the key and so I let them in as a goblin rogue (after I got my hail in of course).

I do have a question though? Do you only get 1 chance at the monster mission after you turn your ticket in? I have no desire to do the other quests as I Feel they are a waste of time for the reward (don't feel like fighting with other players to camp the mobs either). I have the ticket from trick or treat quest but Im afraid to use it.

Thanks for the detailed summary, Lionpawsdeadlyclaws. It's very helpful to have all of this info compiled in one post.

For Crabby in Unrest, here's an easy way to find him. Scroll your camera out as far back into third person as it will go. Then using mouselook move the camera so its directly overhead looking down. Doing this allows you to see over the top of the hedge. Hehe, makes me feel like I'm playing Guantlet all over again.

"a silly puppet" is located at 1228, 1074 in Kithicor Forest. North half of zone, just east of Morin & Mune.

Ok, I was walking through Kithicor Woods, suddenly saw this huge treant walking around that conned yellow to me and I think to myself, thats my epic 1.5 final fight mob, folks another stupid mistake by sony, if you can, avoid any lvl 71-72 treants around Barsin :)

edit; Yes I spawned him, sorry to those I killed

Spiced Pumpkin Cider has a trivial of 68. You can buy the pumpkin cider spice from select baking supplies NPCs. I bought it from Bartle Barnick in Rivervale (1 copper each).

Seargent Ragus at "INN 2" ? Does it have a sign that flashes "NOOB INN 2"? Folks it would be the Inn closest to the Freeport zoneline.

Actually, yes it does - provided that you have downloadable maps from mapfiend.

By the way, the inn closest to the Freeport zone line is "Inn 1". "Inn 2" is closer to the druid ring. So why did you find the Sgt. at Inn 1 while others have found him by Inn 2?

Well, that's because Seargent Ragus is not a static spawn. He goes on a random walk in East Commons. He goes as far east as Inn 1, as far south as the zone wall, as far west as about 1/2 way between Inn 2 and the druid ring, and as far north as within sight of Orc 1. (I was bored, so I followed him around, OK?)

Easy trick for befallen.

just fall right down to the bottom, go to the locked door that Wraps is behind, shrink, target him and say trick or treat, it will reach.

If you would read it ,you would see there was new info provided along with the same old list. Maybe not a lot of new info, but every bit helps, why bash? They DID list the reward at each spot.

FYI. This quest is broken. 4 of the 5 will not flag your group or even your character. I would personally hold off on doing any more. When Sony repairs this issue, I will post the entire thing here or on my website (www.pandemonium.cc/egras) step by step to catch everyone up quickly before the quest end date.

it looks like the post that was in the newbie zone has been removed from the EQ live boards. There is a patch tomorrow, hopefully this issue will be fixed. good luck all.

ok all is right from first 2 posts on trick o treat.
add ons,
- Take a rogue with you to befallen
- The unrest guy appears in the right one more often
- Sergent Ramus- fond him by following Serg. Slate (watchign him kill a griffon in the process) to an in near the dessert. he seems to pop in that area once he's given out his treats.
- dont port to iceclad, use the North Ro translocator 9also dont be in wolf from ther, they eat wolves, as i found out)

Also, all the NPC's u must hail are neutral, so if u ikky u can do this.
any level that can survive befallen/mist and unrest can do this quest. they were all green to me exept the new mistmooore which were dark blue. go invis there, i suggest. 9unless, liek me, you have a mad SK troll to help you out)

as always, GL and thanks to all my friends who helped. I took pictures all the way along, of each NPC and zone. Ask me for them, if u need help.

Druid is best to do this quest. LoL

I want to add that all the trick-or-treat mobs SEE INVIS so if you are going around invisible (as we shadowknights are prone to do) you can hail and say the line without breaking invis. This can save your butt in Mistmoore. I didn't know this at the time I took my druid there. Had her clear the graveyard, did the line, then mister Bloody Vampire waltzed in and aggroed on her. Seeing as how she was only at 20%m I took off for the ZL. That little bugger promptly dispelled my sow as his bats had halfling lunch.

So basically the main theme of this years holloween quests is that "We at Sony are only interested i9n assissting shield weilding classes". Is that about right?

yeah, thats about right

because it was absolutly miserable to go visit those places i hadn't gone in so long. doing something different. working together to figure it all out. all for a chance at a shield that hasn't been an upgrade for two years...yup, thats why i did it.

heh

some people

altho i do admit, i expected a little more out of it, but maybe there is more, we shall see when they "fix" it. not expecting much, but anotehr 10 dose exp potion would be cool ;-P

Only one of the quests gives you a shield. The bone collection gives out a necklace, and the vampire costume a ring (or cloak?), and there is potentially an unknown final reward for doing all of the quests. So, do those if you want something you'll use. Bring along a non-PoTime caster or knight to loot the shield when you do the monster mission, I'm sure they'll appreciate it.
