Okay, I have been coming to this site since I've been playing Everquest, about 4 years now. One thing I have noticed is the number of ingorant comments made to people who want nothing to do but get information for something they want to know. I guess folks build up some type of confidence knowing that they'll never face who they are bashing, but I think it's absolutely ridiculous. I just read a post on the Staff of Elemental Mastery: Fire, and somebody was just thanking somebody for letting them have this item. Sure enough, somebody had to bash this poor person over something the basher had no clue about. This site is supposed to be a collection of what people want to pass on to other players. Nobody knows everything, so I wish people out there would stop thinking they do. Anybody who decides to post rude comments need to do it on another site, or leave the game completely. I speak for everybody who has had an ignorant reply to their post. If you don't have anything good to day, nor something to pass on to other players, stay the heck away from this site. The comments in item, bestiary listings, etc. are full of nonsense because a lot of times it's either anonymous posting or people who only post a handful of times. Those posts can be rated into oblivion and a lot of them do.

On occasion they stimulate a lot of topical discussion, though.

Do you have concrete evidense besides "she said this" and "he bashed her".......

Perhaps you should take your own advise and that of all good mother's everywhere; If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all!!

What I find alternately amusing and irritating is people who post offensive comments recently (2004-2005) bashing old posts with info from Velious/Luclin era.

Hang in there Kyarone. I've been lucky that no one flames or bashes my posts or threads, so I can't really identify with your situation. On the other hand, if ever you had to reply in your defense, try to reinforce your argument rather than raise your voice; though, a few pages of thoughtful digression may be just as inappropriate. Again, I can't speak from experience, but hopefully I'll be able to walk the fine line of justice and valor when that time comes (heel:toe, heel:toe, heel:toe).
the worst posts in the bestiary are ones like: 'this mob is gimp, i soloed it with my 70 ranger, you shouldnt need more than 2 or 3 peeps to take it down' and then they'll rip on a post from 2002 where they said 'bring 3 groups'. mostly though it is good and alla is an amazing resource despite a large number of pointless comments.
