ive always wanted to know how do u dye ur armor. ive bought the dye but i dont know how to apply it to the armor. is there a expansion that requires u to have it to dye

when you press 'i' to see your inventory there is a button that says 'dye' then it oppens a list of body parts with a color sample. you change it to the new color and if you have enough 'a vial of prismatic dye' in your inventory it will make the color changes permanant once you click 'ok'.

the "dye" button on my invintory is gray and i cant click on it. do i need an expantion or something??
