I tried to log in tonight but couldn't, before the patcher would run a Windows style window came up that said 'everquest.exe_delta'.
Then I got a warning message telling me that 'The _verquest.exe file is linked to the missing export SHELL32.DLL:SHGGetFolderPathA'
I tried the TestEverQuest.exe and it started fine. I did a full file scan from the test patcher but it did not change the error.
I played last night with no problems.

I am a might confused here, did something get renamed or deleted?
Do I have to reload the entire game?

Has anyone had this happen or know a fix?
Thanks!

I have one possible solution for you:

Go to SOE's EQ site (http://eqlive.station.sony.com/support/tech_support/ts_new_patcher.jsp)and download the latest patcher. You then unzip the file into your EQ directory - it takes all of 15 seconds to do so. That worked for me a while back - good luck!

I believe that the program(s) that you were downloading were related to the upcoming expansion. got the same download, then after logging in i got the option on downloading Darkhollow. Everytime something is changed, even the picture, it has to be downloaded. As to the "cant find" error, looks like it was jusdt a download glitch.
