No b/v the beastlord and shaman are still better necros aren't bad though....That just made the bard a little less godlike.

Why are you playing Everquest if you want to solo day in and day out?

To me, soloing is dry, boring and generally just lame :\ I'd much rather play NWN or D2 or any countless other games that are a lot more fulfilling for single-player game play.

If you just want to solo during LFG, hopefully the new task system will be satisfactory.

Are you looking to prove you're a badass by saying 'Yeah I don't need anybody because I can solo'? All it really tells people is that you're a loner and probably have social issues :\

The key to finding groups is having friends and knowing people. The memorable groups aren't usually built in the LFG tool, they're built through /who all friends :\

Soloing isn't conducive to building lasting relationships with folks who will look you up when a group slot opens up.

Because soloing is fun. I don't need someone to help me out of a jam ALL the time, only when I die..LOL. I group at times, but I get better XP alone.

Best solo class would depend on preference. Giving reasons why one is better than another is just a pissing contest waiting to happen. it is not just about the class, it is about being comfortable with the strategy that you use. I have a 65 Beastlord and a 65 mage, and I feel that I can solo much better as a mage. I have not and will not play a druid so it would be silly for me to try to compare them. Just look for the soloing classes and then try to find the strategy that works best for you.

Even with the area nerf I would still say Bards are the best overall soloers. Take into conideration they can get to and pull just about anything, this is a huge advantage over many other solo classes. I have a Bst alt and as an example I could probably solo Rallius Ratican in PoD with him IF I could get to it. I would never get out of the cave alive. On the other hand I can send my bard in invisable (yea some will see thru it but it buys time)and agro RR then hit DA song (invuln for 18 seconds)and I am safe from the HT's and snares from the spawned spiders. I can then lead him out and mez him and train the 20 or so adds away and wipe agro leaving RR single. I can then kite him and not even worry about the 4 youths he spawns cause they will never hit me.
Bards have a lot soloing methods, just a matter of learning the right tactic for the mob. If a mob is mezzable then it is usually Bard soloable by using the mezz and regen up and repeat method. Not effective for experience but if you need to take down a named for some loot then it may be the way to go.

Someone mentioned that necros and BLs can solo anything any other class can solo. Well my Bard can solo Spirit of radir and Tawro (sometimes without even using charmed pets) in Up and Terror Matriarch (always need charmed pets for him)in PoN and I am yet to here of any other class that can do this and I seriously doubt a nec or BL could do it.

I know there are certain situations and certain mobs that other classes are better suited for but overall I think Bards are still the best soloers.

Btw my gear is Ornate quality but i do have my defensive AA's and regen AA's
