I bought a Crumbled Gravestone of Renewal from the MMC adventure merchant. It doesn't seem to be able to be put in any of the equipment on the character, a 38 dwarven pally. What am I missing?
Check the slots that your augmentation can fit into. The aug you are talking about has both a slot space and an aug slot restriction on it - slot type 3 IIRC. You can only get the type you need from equipment purchased from LDoN vendors using AP's.

Thanks for the info. I don't recall seeing any restrictions on the item other than the location of the item it was put into, ie. finger, wrist, ect. Where can I find the other restrictions on the item?
It'll say on it somewhere something like: Slot type 3.
Also. Items will list the slots they have and the "type" of each slot. As a general rule, most non-LDoN wearable gear will have a single slot of type 7. Most non-LDoN weapons will have a single slot of type 4. So, if you get an aug that fits only in slot types 2, 3, or 5 (the most common), you need to first obtain a piece of gear with the right slot type.
It's one of the annyoing "gotchas" of LDoN IMO. But that's part of the deal. The stuff you get is actually pretty good in relation to the difficulty. You just have to spend the extra time and adventure points to get gear capable of holding the augs you get.

So I took my little woodie butt over to the ancient land (Takish Hiz) and I earned a few adventure points there. Only having like 12 points there in North Ro, I looked at the merchant and what did I find? A Sculptor's Hoop with a little AC and a little stat buff, and...and... HOLY CRAP!!!, a TYPE 3 Aug slot. This was perfect because the Hoop was only 10 adventure points.
So... to make a long story short : do a little research at some of the camps for the Aug Slots you have a hard time fitting, most likely one of the other LDoN merchants has a piece of equipment for that Type of Aug. I know there is a system for what types of augs go with what kinds of armor (LDoN, Velious, Kunark, etc.), but i don't know it. If anybody has a link or some basic info for that, it'll probably help too.
And by the way... that Sculptor's Hoop with the Crumbled Gravestone of Renewal looks REAL good on a handsome Ranger like myself. Could look nice on a Pally too, eh?

If it turns out you can't equip it on anything...take it to a gnome in the S Ro camp named Dongle Dribbleflap (somthing crazy like that) and give it to him. You'll get a full refund on the aug.
