Iksar nerf? :: EverQuest

I took about two weeks off everquest and got back in game a few days ago. I installed GoD and DirectX9. I started playing one of my characters that's an iksar and at night time I became totally blind. I don't know whether I mistakenly changed my video card settings but all my in game settings are the same as they've always been. Anyone hear of an iksar night vision nerf or is this a local problem??

If you played in windowed mode, DX9 fubars your gamma. The only way to play with proper gamma while using Dx9 is by playing in full window mode or, I think, using that eqwindows prg.

I can't play in windowed mode since installing DX9. The gamma is non-existent.

You know, I never even thought this issue was related to DX9 and windowed mode, as my gamma has never worked ever since I went to DX9.. Wow. learn something new everyday. I ended up manually adjusting the gamma from the video card settings enough so that I could see the game well enough at nighttime...
