Targeting Buttons or Hot KeysFollow

#1 Mar 10 2004 at 4:30 PM Rating: Decent
I've read other posts on this subject, but they have not answered a question that I have.

When setting up an Assist button/hot key [/g assist <Name>] to assist the main tank in the mob the group is fighting, works for assisting.

I want to be able to target and just target the mob that the Main tank is attacking.

I do not want to automatically attack the mob. I want to stay back and shoot arrows at the mob, etc.

Then after the tank gets enough agro, so when I start to attack I won't pull agro onto myself.

I want to be able to hit the assist button/hot key to automatically attack the mob.

So I want to make 2 buttons/hot keys.
1 - For Assisting
1 - For Targeting

Please provide some help it will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Kaeerin

I set mine up like this:

/g Assisting %t
/assist
/attack off
/attack off

I put the /attack off twice there because sometimes lag interferes with the first one.

Hope this helps.

The command "/assist off" turns off auto attack on assist. Only has to be done once (it's stored in EQClient.ini as AttackOnAssist=FALSE).

So you only need one hotkey "/assist Tank". then when you ready to attack hit your attack button.
