Afternoon Everyone,

After finally discovering summoned pet armor from a kind mage - I spent the an hour last night trying to get antoher set in POK for a donation.

Instead of wasting my time in POK may I just go to bazaar and buy cheap stuff and give to pet? I know my pet disappears when it dies, I zone, and/or log but it seems much quicker to just buy the stuff, travel to Echo Caverns (currently my hunting sight) and start bashing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

While I don't know how useful gear will be for a chanter pet, often Mages will sell their summoned gear in the Bazaar. Just search for summoned gear.

Well, whatever works, the summoned gear is sweet, but our pets are about the worst pets you can have so I wouldn't put too much into them. YES, the items CAN make a different, but not nearly as much as for other pets. You'd be better off putting the money into spell components for the best Rune spell you can cast.

If you haven't been grouping much and have mostly gone the solo road, grouping would now be a good idea. The tactics for grouping and soloing for an Enchanter are VERY different and should be learned. The Overthere is a perfect place to group and good exp.

Once you get your fire-elemental illusion, you can use it (with the damage shield it provides) to tank. If you can get Temperance (not level restricted), and team up with a druid, who can provide you with more buffs, heal, and most importantly another damage shield. You can cruise through most mobs, letting your pet do the damage while you tank.

This is the only instance I know of where damage shields will stack, and you can do an awful lot of damage with them.

If you want to solo, skip all that stuff and invest in SoW potions or J Boots and go Charm solo. If you don't want to solo, get in a decent group in High Keep. Stay in High Keep until 35. You'll make it in (roughly depending on group) 20 hours of play. I did 24 - 37 there in 21 hours. When you make 35, do Dungeons or Dreadlands to upper 40's. From there head tot he planes. LDoN's are great Exp until 50. After 50, Planes to 65, then go back to LDoN for the points for gear.

If you plan on Charm soloing, invest in 3 things.

1: SoW potions or J Boots.
2: Components for Runes (Optional depending on skill)
3: Spell Haste Item.

Thanks for all the advice!

Dinged 29 this morning and finally got clarity, a new pet, and a new DOT spell. I have invested in some sow potions and plan to stay in Echo for another level or so (or until I get bored).

Apparently pet has dual wield so ill buy a few FS weapons and mabe a muzzle in the bazzar. Then I'll be ready to rock.

No need for fine steel....couple rusty daggers or better yet the gnoll lariats which proc a stun work well for Enchanter pets. Haste him and let him rock.
