Morning Everyone,

I have a 25 chanter who is going to start researching spells. I need to have different races start to spam me so I can learn the languages.

What are the commands to repeat a phrase over and over again?

Also, how do I switch to the different languages that I presently know (i.e. from common to froglok)?

Thanks in advance!

You could shift and hit your up arrow to repeat but for languages I usually just make a macro I can hit repeatedly.

To switch languages, right click on the chat window, and select the language you want to use from the list.

To teach, easiest way to do it is to make a button. Click on the socials tab of the window in the lower right hand corner of the screen, and scroll through the pages until you find a blank button. rigth click on it. this will bring up the buton window. Add a title (like languages, or teaching), then fill in each line with /g text or whatever you want to say here. Then just put that button on your left hand action window, and spam away.

simply right click in the window where you enter your text in the chat window. there should come up "channel" etc, plus "languages". just pick one.

pls. note, you can only pick one, if you have at least one skill point in there. plus, you can not improve the languages by talking to yourself, you have to actually talk (or listen) to someone.

what my brother and I did, was when medding, we just had our macros, which we let run (means setup a hotkey for saying 5 sentences). we were both set to the same language (e.g. orcish) and then after 3 or 4 sessions the language was at 100.

you can also learn a new language just from listening (instead of wasting training points fro the first point). just ask somebody nicely to say something, until you have one skill point in that language :)

While learning languages is perfectly sensible as an objective it is not required to learn spell research.

I think if you want to be a purist in learning spell research, learning languages is required. Some of the books are written in various languages.

If you're just trying to learn the ingredients for your spell combines, this site and eqtraders.com both have that information.
