Permafrost ExtractFollow

Hello,
Had a rogue whip up the ingredients for blue extract which is used in making blue dye - a subcombine for frosted ringmail boots. What I got instead of blue extract was permafrost extract. There are no listings anywhere for permafrost extract. What is permafrost extract used for? Can I substitute permafrost extract for blue extract?

You are confusing two recipes...

If you take permafrost crystals and combine it with water and a vial, you get permafrost extract. Combine this with resin and you get blue dye. Combine the bye dye with a piece of un-dyed fine steel armor, you get dyed fine steel armor.

If you take Ice Lichen and combine it with water, you get Lichen Temper which is used in the Frosted Steel/Ringmail recipes.

The blue dye has no part of in the Frosted recipes.

You are right, I have 2 different recipes mixed up (one for blue dye and 1 for frosted ringmail boots) because I am working on both, but on the blue dye recipe, if you look at the actual recipe, it says combining permafrost crystal, empty vial and water in a mortar and pestle you get blue extract, add to this resin in a clay jar in brewing, you get blue dye. I am confused because the recipe calls for blue extract, not permafrost extract.
