Leadership Exp?Follow

What is the leadership experience used for? What's the benefit to getting it?

Think of Leadership experience as group AAs. You can check out what you can get by pressing "L" to pop-up the window. I forget what all the possible things are, but I know that my cleric will be buying the group regen one; anything to help out. There is also a HP and a mana boost.

I've heard that when the leader has Leadership experience turned on, then 20% of mob xp goes directly to this, and the remaining 80% of the xp is then divided up amongst the group as experience.

Can anybody verify or repudiate this?

I don't think it takes away from the entire group xp, just the leaders xp and aa's. From what I've read it doesn't take that much away either. I'll see if I can find where I read that and post it here.

Sorry, you were correct about the 20% xp but it only pertains to the leader of the group.

Quote from Jamey Ryan, EverQuest designer

"We are providing the ability to turn leadership experience on or off. If it is turned on, then you will get 20% less regular experience."

Malk's post is right, Leader can get 20% of regular exp diverted to Leadership bar. I have done 4 LDON's as leader with my 46 chanter and have 1 1/2 points roughly. The mana boost takes 4 points for level one and looks like it boosts entire group. Expect that Leadership is like a cross between AAs and the LDON items that only work in the dungeon but substitute group settings.

I form a lot of groups and acquuired GoD on pre-release, as such I have been accruing some leadership AAs.

20% of your experience sinks into leadership AA's but only if you select it. Like AAxp it can be turned off.

Pressing 'L' shows the leadership window.

I am about to ding 5 leadership AAs. For my first 3 I saved for the 'Mark target' AA. This is a very nice AA. Put simply, as group leader you can select and mark any mob with a large, bright yellow circle. It is therefore obvious to all in the group which they should be attacking and also to the enchanters etc which should be getting mezzed. Myself and a chanter friend (who has also ground the leader AAs) love this ability and so it seems do those we group with.
When I ding 5Laas I plan to train the mark mob health. An amusing AA I have seen it puts the mobs health percentage as a glowing figure above its head Smiley: smile Thats useful? Well not really but it does look very nice and that is what is important! Smiley: lol

When I start my group aa's (aka noob aas), I am goiong to puth them into regen, sinc the manna thing does NOT in crease your manna pool, it makes it so it CAN be bigger. Like if you have maxed int, you will have more manna with the AAs. The regen will increase regen of everyone, so that means less downtime for tnks, and necros will be very happy! Then mabey the MT AA. Just to make it easier.

Ok I have a few questions.

1) On the mana and hp increases, I have read you don't actually get the increase... it just allows you to increase the pool.

2) Does anyone know what the regen increase is for each step?

3) If you have 2 people in the group with leadership skills, do you get both the skill increases if they are different, or do you just get the leaders group skills.

Have not trained regen yet (working on it Smiley: smile) so I cannot answer your question but I can say this ..

Only the current group leaders AAs can be used. In many groups I am in the group leader is grinding the first leader AAs and has nothing trained, I cannot use my abilities then Smiley: frown

I have yet to see if it works in a raid as group leader, would be interesting Smiley: smile

I have a question.

Does Lxp work at all levels or do you have to be high level?

I lead groups several times daily and am just wondering if I can gain this xp at lower levels?
