Thanks to everyone's input did get to Level 3 in one night yesterday. Am on the new engine and that seems to be perfect population wise for a newbie.

I am in Freeport and leveling up and picked up Scalded Rat Fur because I thought there would be someone in the city to buy them. Haven't found anyone yet.

Does anyone know of a merchant in Freeport who will buy the Scalded Rat Fur?

I think you'll find thats a no drop item, used in newbie armour quests.

Vendors will not buy a no drop item, without getting into MQing basically you will have to use it for its intended purpose or just destroy it.

Thanks and what is it's intended use?. Go to the needle and thread lady and have a armor made of scalded rat skin? Does that sound bad or what.
